Pokemon: Road to Fire Type Master

Prologue

Owen's POV

As me and my family watched Sinnoh Elite Four Member Flint put away another challenger with his Infernape, we all clapped and cheered at his performance. As I cheered, I kept thinking to myself, 'That could be me one day.' Just then my older twin sister Asuka nudged me.

Asuka: "Daydreaming again little brother?"

Owen: "Hey, stop that sis."

Dad: "Asuka leave your little brother alone."

Mom: "Yes, we don't want him to drop that Pokemon Egg from Dad's Infernape."

Asuka: "Oops, sorry Owen."

Owen: "It's fine Asuka, just don't nudge me when I'm holding something ok?"

I then looked at the Pokemon Egg that was in my hands. A few weeks back my Dad's Infernape laid the egg, and since everyone in my family knew I was a huge fan of Fire Type Pokemon, Dad gave me the egg so I could raise it as a Chimcar once it hatched. Now my twin sister Asuka, she's aiming to become the best Pokemon Coordinator in the world, just like Mom did. Just then, I felt the egg shake in my hands, which caught the attention of my family as well.

Dad: "Owen, is that egg shaking?"

Owen: "Y-Yeah, I don't what else to think."

Just then, the egg began to crack and soon enough, a little Chimcar was now in my hands where the egg once was. My eyes watered at the sight of my first Pokemon.

Owen: "My very first Pokemon."

Dad: "Wow, how about that son? Your very first Pokemon hatched right here, right now."

Asuka: "Congrates little bro."

Mom: "Here Owen, use this Pokeball, it will capture Chimchar to ensure it fully belongs to you."

I then took the Pokeball from Mom and tapped it on Chimchar and it sucked the little Pokemon inside and a few seconds later, Chimchar was officially my first Pokemon. 

?: "Well, I didn't expect that to happen."

We turned and saw Sinnoh's Regional Champion Cynthia behind with a smile on her face.

Dad: "Well, Cynthia, long time no see old friend."

Cynthia: "Yes Mike it's been a while, and I see your son has his first Pokemon now."

Dad: "Yes, Owen has always had a huge obsession with Fire Type Pokemon, and he's aiming to become the best Fire Type specialist in the world once he becomes an official trainer."

Cynthia: "Ah, that's going to be quite the journey for you Owen."

Owen: "Yes, Cynthia, but I will try my best to overcome challenges to fulfil my dreams.

Asuka: "That's my little brother for you."

Cynthia: "And I'm guessing little Asuka here is aiming to become a Pokemon Coordinator like her mom right?"

Mom: "Yes, she and Owen have two years to go before they get their trainer's license, but I will believe they will succeed in their dreams."

Me and Asuka smiled at what our Mom said to us. She and Dad had a big influence on us and told us to fulfil our dreams. And I knew me and Asuka were going to do it, even if it would take us a long time.

Timeskip: Nine years later

I was approaching a Pokemon Center in Viridian City, Kanto. Ever since me and Asuka got our trainer's license, we separated from each other to fulfil our dreams at last. Throughout my travels, I explored the wilderness of Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto for Fire Type Pokemon. During this time, my Chimchar had evolved into a powerful Infernape and had won me a lot of Pokemon Battles. I then looked at my other Fire Type Pokemon and remember how I reached this point.

In Sinnoh, I captured Flareon, Houndoom, and Raipdash. In Unova, I captured Emboar, Simisear, Chandelure, and Volcarona. In Kalos, I captured Talconflame, Pyroar, and Delphox. In Hoenn, I captured Blaziken, Camerupt, and Torkoal. During my travels in both Johto and Kanto, I captured Typlosion, Magmar, Ninetales, Arcanine, and Charizard. I even held a few legendary Pokemon that were Fire Types as well. They were Entei, Heatran, Moltres, Victini, and the most powerful Fire Type in my arsenal, Reshiram. Now I did have a special Pokedex that allowed me to carry all my Pokemon at once, which was I glad for because I didn't want to people to know I had Legendary Pokemon yet. I had even made it to the Victory Tournament in all six Pokemon Leagues and I had won them all. Right now, I was catching up with Asuka by using the phone feature on my Pokedex.

Asuka: "Wow, little brother, you have quite the collection of Fire Type Pokemon going on right now."

Owen: "Yeah, a lot of them were caught in their pre-evolved forms like Torchic, Charmander, Eevee and Growthlite, but at least I'm getting closer to realizing my dreams. How are you doing as a Pokemon Coordinator?"

Asuka: "Pretty good, I made it to the finals in my contests so far, and my Lucario has helped me win them all."

Owen: "Nice, I'm proud of you big sis."

Asuka: "Thanks little bro, where are you right now?"

Owen: "I'm the Pokemon Center at Viridian City for the night, what about you?"

Asuka: "I'm resting at Goldenrod City after I won my most recent Pokemon Contest. But did you hear the news?"

Owen: "Not recently sis, why?"

Asuka: "Well, Agatha of the Kanto and Johto Elite Four has announced her retirement and there's going to be a tournament next week at the Silver Stadium in Johto to determine who will replace her."

Owen: "Wow, do the trainers have to specialize in just one type?"

Asuka: "Correct, but since Lorelei's an Ice Type Trainer, Bruno's a Fighting Type Master, Karen's a Dark Type specialist, and Lance is a Dragon-Type Master, you're not allowed to specialize in those types."

Owen: "Wow, luckily for me I'm already a Fire Type specialist, so I should more than qualify then."

Asuka: "Yes, good luck if you make it little bro, 'cause you're going to be competing against other Fire Type specialists around the world."

Owen: "Well, Asuka, I shouldn't be too worried, I mean I have been training with the Fire Type Gym Leaders around the regions after all."

Asuka: "Nice little bro, and me and Mom and Dad will be cheering you on at the Silver Stadium, see you then."

Owen: "Thanks, Asuka, I'll head to Jotho first thing tomorrow on Talconflame."

I then put away my Pokedex before I began to think about what Pokemon to use at the tournament.

Owen: 'Now the world will now know the power of Owen Santos, next master of Fire Type Pokemon.'
