Chap 4: Battle 1 (Owen vs Raven)

After Owen learned who won the rounds of the Grass, Water, Poison, Rock, Steel, Ghost, Flying, Fairy, Psychic, Electric, Normal and Ground Type brackets, he knew he was a few battles away from earning his spot in the Kanto and Johto Elite Four. But first, he had to get past Raven Kai, the winner of the Flying Type bracket. Earlier, he saw the battles between the remaining competitors and knew they were tough to beat.

Angela defeated Ricky's Bug Types with her Tauros, Stoutland, Slaking, Fearow, Mega-Evolved Lopunny, and Snorlax, Julia overcame Roman's Electric Types with her Sylveon, Togekiss, Mr. Mime, Mawile, and Mega-Evolved Gardevoir, Jey overpowered Rocky's Rock Types with his Gothitelle, Reuniclus, Slowbro, Swoobat, Gallade, and Mega-Evolved Alakazam, Rex destroyed Noami's Water Types with his Steelix, Aggron, Skarmory, Excadrill, Bisharp, and Mega-Evolved Metagross, and Amelia took down Joel's Ghost Types with her Muk, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Crobat, Toxicroak, and a Pokemon that Owen never expected, a Legendary Pokemon called Eternatus that was of the Poison and Dragon Type. Asuka told him Eternatus was native to Galar, one of the two regions that Owen haven't gone to yet, along with Alola.

Owen: 'Hmmm, I might have to visit Alola and Galar after this tournament so I can catch the Fire Type Pokemon in those regions.'

Soon enough, after Seth defeated Becky's Ground Types with his Roserade, Vileplume, Simisage, Bellossom, Gogoat, and Mega-Evolved Sceptile, it was time for Owen to face Raven, and he knew she was going to be tough. In her battles, she had used Emogla, Pidgeot, Swellow, Staraptor, Talonflame, and Mega-Evolved Altaria, and he knew he had to design his team around that.

Owen: 'Ok, so with Mega Altaria being a Dragon and Fairy Type, Fire Type moves aren't going to do much damage, so I have to be careful when she brings it out.'

When it was time for Owen to face Raven, both trainers made their way to the battlefield, each with their strongest Pokemon in hand. Meanwhile, Owen's family was busy talking with Lorelei and Karen, who revealed themselves as Owen's girlfriends.

Asuka: "Wow, I knew my brother was handsome, but having two girlfriends at once is something else."

Karen: "Yeah, and since me and Lorelei have known each other since we joined the Elite Four at the same time, we were more than willing to share him."

Lorelei: "Yeah, we didn't want to make one another jealous."

Jessica: "That's smart, I do approve of you to date Owen, but don't you dare break his heart."

Just then, the regional Champions then showed up.

Steven: "Nice to see you approving Lorelei and Karen to date Owen, but his match with Raven is coming up."

Iris: "Yeah, I'm sure it's going to be an epic battle."

Mike: "Yes, we're on our way now."

Diantha: "You know, Owen is very strong for his young age, especially with Moltres in his arsenal."

Cynthia: "Yes, do you think Owen has any other Legendary Pokemon?"

Asuka: "I don't know, but I think we're about to find out."

Upon making it to the stands, they saw Owen and Raven in their trainer's boxes, ready to battle it out.

MC: "Alright folks, our last battle today is going to be between Fire Type specialist Owen Santos and Flying Type specialist Raven Kai to see who makes it to the Quater-Final rounds in the tournament."

The official then came onto the field.

Official: "This will be a six-on-six battle, no subsites are allowed and once one trainer loses all six of their Pokemon, the match will end. You may begin when ready."
