Chap 5: Battle 2 (Owen vs. Angela)

As Owen prepared to face Angela De Santa in the quarter-finals, he remembered the battles before that. At first, Jey's Psychic Types struggled against Rex's Steel Types, but a Mega-Evolved Gallade secured his win. After that, despite having a type disadvantage, Julia did put up a decent fight against Amelia, but it was Enternatus that once again gave Amelia the win. And Owen knew if he ended up facing Amelia, Enternatus was his most significant threat in the entire tournament. However, he had to prepare for his battle against Angela, and soon enough, it was time for him to face the Normal Type specialist.

Owen: 'OK, time to face Mrs. De Santa.'

As Owen and Angela made their way to the battlefield, little did they know that a particular Poison Type specialist was watching the redhead from not far behind.

Amelia: 'Owen Santos, you may be one of the strongest Fire Type specialists in the world, but you will never be able to withstand the power of my Poison Type Pokemon. And Enteratus will make sure that will happen.'

The official walked onto the battlefield as Owen and Angela got into their trainer's box.

Official: "This is a full six-on-six battle. There are no substitutes and once one trainer loses all of their Pokemon the battle will conclude. You may begin when ready."

Angela: "Stand by for battle Tauros!"

The Wild Bull Pokemon then appeared on the battlefield as it took Angela's first icon.

MC: "As we begin the last quarter-final match, Angela sends out her Tauros as her first Pokemon, what will Owen send out to fight it?"

Owen: "Show them your flames, Flareon!"

The fire-evolved form of Eevee then appeared on the battlefield letting out a small roar as it took Owen's first icon.

MC: "Owen sends out Flareon, let's see if it can withstand the power of Tauros."

Angela: "Start things off with Horn Attack!"

Tauros lowered its head as it charged at Flareon.

Owen: "Counter with Flamethrower!"

Flareon opened her mouth as a long stream of flames was fired at Tauros and it was hit head-on, and that cancelled Horn Attack.

Angela: "Use Double Kick!"

Tauros began to charge at Flareon again, but Owen smirked.

Owen: "Now use Attract!"

Flareon jumped into the air and winked her left eye at the Wild Bull Pokemon as hearts were launched at it. Suddenly, Tauros became inflated with Flareon and Angela was shocked at this.

Owen: "Ah yes, it's true about what they say, love does hurt."

Angela grit her teeth as Owen made his next move.

Owen: "Now use Fire Blast!"

Flareon opened her move again, but this time a huge burst of fire was launched at Tauros and it was hit successfully. Tauros then fell to one of the most powerful Fire Type moves.

Official: "Tauros is unable to battle, Flareon is the winner. Trainer send out your next Pokemon."

Angela recalled Tauros and cast a serious eye at Owen.

Angela: "Let's see how you deal with this, Snorlax, I chose you!"

The Sleeping Pokemon then appeared on the battlefield as it took Angela's second icon.

MC: "Angela sends out her Snorlax as her second Pokemon, let's see how Owen fares against it."

Owen: "Use Will-O-Wisp!"
