"Cute dog."

I noticed that voice right away.

"He's been in the shelter for almost one hundred days." I said looking up at Sam

He frowned and sat down next to me, his back rested against the cement wall while he looked at the dog.

"I want to adopt him but the apartment owner doesn't allow pets." I frowned

"I bet he would make a exception." Sam said petting the dog

"Yeah, I wish." I smiled "I'm ready to go home."

I stood up before setting the dog back in his bed and waited for Sam to stand up. We walked out to the car together silently.

"You did this?" I asked turning around to look at Sam and my other friends

They all nodded as I walked around my now cleaned apartment. Tears flooded my eyes as I walked back over to them hugging each of them.

"Thank you guys really." I said wiping my face

"It was all Sam's idea." Tara said

I looked over at Sam who was glaring at Tara but that didn't matter to me I walked back over to him wrapping my arms around his waist, squeezing him.

"Thank you." I whispered

I felt his arms wrapped around me "Anything for you sweetheart."

I smiled.

Sweetheart.

It made my stomach feel weird and I soon felt the blush rise to my cheeks.

"Do you guys wanna stay for dinner?" I asked

Everyone soon agreed and we ordered pizza and turned on something to watch.

I walked into the kitchen getting something to drink and when I turned around Sam stood there.

"I have a little something." He said turning to look back at our other friends

"You didn't have to." I said furrowing my eyebrows

"I needed to, after what happened."

He handed me a small box before motioning me to open it, and inside was a key.

"What's this for?" I asked holding it in my palm

"It's a spare key to my apartment for whenever you need me or just to stay over. Please use it."

I smiled walking over to him and once again wrapped my arms around him.

"Thank you Sam." I whispered

"Anything for you sweetheart." He whispered back
