Plagued Love

Prologue

"Now Zel, please remember that when you go out to be careful. You never know what could be out there m'kay?" The little boy nodded. 

"Yes momma!" The little boy said smiling brightly before running outside. "And don't go to deep into the woods sweetheart!" 

His mother called after him. The little boy of course didn't listen to what his mother said running deeper into the thicket until he heard sniffling. He approached the sound until he saw a young boy with red hair pointed ears and a tail.

"Hello, why are you crying?" The little boy asked. The young boy looked up, tears streaming from his amber eyes behind round golden glasses.

"My mom was taken away because she isn't human like you are." The young boy sniffed wipping his tears. The little boy felt horrible and hugged the young boy tightly.

"I'm sorry" He said. The young boy was surprised by the action but hugged back sobbing into the little boys shoulder. The little boy visited the forest often after that, until one day he stopped. 

The young elf boy was upset by this. Eventually the two forgot about each other entirely, living their own lives. The little boy grew to become a 19 year old plague doctor while the elf boy became a 21 year old writer for the elf's. Things between the elf's and humans were peaceful again and it stayed that way for a very long time...
