Plagued Love

Zeltron eventually moved off his chest, smiling up at him lovingly. "You wanted to tell me this...Honestly I would've waited longer but it was getting harder for me to keep it a secret" He said while rubbing the back of his neck. Carnelian looks at him with a soft smile. Zeltron's words bring out a tinge of joy in his voice. 

"Really? You would have waited longer?"

 He whispers softly. His cheeks remain a soft shade of pink and his voice is calm. "Would you have asked me to be your boyfriend instead?" He asks playfully, smiling widely. "I would've" He blushed as he looked up at him shyly. 

Carnelian's blushing increases and he looks at him with a soft look. "Can I ask... have you ever been... in love before?" He asks softly, his heart beating quickly as he leans towards Zeltron and watches his face. He can see himself falling in love with the sight of Zeltron, with his smile and his voice. 

He can't help but notice how perfect his caramel skin is, especially when lit up with the warmth of a gentle smile. "No I don't think I ever have been in love" Zeltron mumbled, playing with his gloved hands. "Why are you asking?". Carnelian smiles softly and moves his hands to his. 

He looks at Zeltron and tries to imagine why he's never been in love before. "Because... I have to say I've never felt this way before. Being around you... it makes me feel like I can take on the world. You make me feel... happy and safe." He says lovingly, holding onto his hands tightly. "Are you happy too? Being with me?" He asks softly. "Very" Zeltron said, smiling brightly. Carnelian's lips part slightly and a bright blush spreads across his face; he's never been good at expressing himself in words. "I... what I wanted to say was... I love you." 

He whispers softly. His heart races and his cheeks heat up intensely, his voice becoming soft once more. His heart is beating wildly in his chest and he feels his insides become a mess. His heart and mind are in battle, having a hard time trying to keep up with one another. His eyes are glued to Zeltron's lips as he waits for him to respond.

"I know" Zeltron said, leaning forwards a little bit. "I do too". The words bring out a smile on Carnelian's face. He brings himself closer to him and lays another kiss on his lips, leaning his face towards Zeltron, closing his eyes in anticipation. He breathes out deeply as he pulls away for a brief moment. 

"I... I feel like I'm in a dream." He whispers softly, touching his lips. "Are... are we really together? This isn't actually happening, is it?" He asks softly, his words still sounding unsure. He gazes at Zeltron's face with fondness and adoration. "We're not in a dream". Zeltron said smiling softly 

"This is reality... I actually pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming" Zeltron chuckled lightly as he spoke. He looks at you for a moment and his heart flutters in his chest. Carnelian's cheeks remain pink, his mind still racing to process what's happening. He looks around and then gazes back at Zeltron's face. 

"You're right... it's... it's not a dream." He smiles softly. "I love you. I love your eyes, your smile, your voice. Everything about you makes my heart beat faster, my heart feeling happy and I... I just want to be next to you for the rest of my life." He whispers softly, his words still sounding awkward. Zeltron chuckles again, pecking his cheek and cuddling against him again. "I do too"
