During this time, rumors had been started about some of us, outside of the friend group. One such rumor had all started at my good friend Yimmit's party. Lia had apparently given Thomas a concussion! How you ask? Well, before Truth or Dare began to become an annoyance, we liked to play it. This time, we had changed it up a little bit by assigning teams instead of a singular match. I was with Gwen, Dan was with Shelby, Brooke and I switched off, and Lia was with Thomas. Their dares consisted of hugging random people, holding hands, and sitting in each other's laps. One dare, though, was to kiss each other. Lia was reluctant but Thomas went in for the kiss anyway and that resulted in small slap from Lia. Now Thomas had a concussion and everyone blamed it on Lia the next day. Not only that but people thought that they actually kissed. None of this was true. Thomas's concussion had come from a recent football game he had and the party and its loud noises only made it worse. The kiss also did not happen as Lia had slapped him before it could happen. Luckily, the rumor didn't last long and Thomas recovered after two weeks.

During our school dance, while all of us were talking, dancing, and enjoying ourselves, Kellen had stood alone, waiting for the whole thing to be over. We all saw this but the same thing had happened the year before so we assumed that his mother would come to pick him up early. It never happened and the girls hoping to include him had sung Let It Go right in his face. I do not know what happened immediately after this but I can only assume the worse since Kellen apologized to them that night. To make up for his behavior, Kellen had suggested a movie night at his house. We all agreed to it and we went. Kellen had invited Brooke, Gwen, Lia, Shelby, Katie (another friend), Dan, Thomas, and me. We all had fun that night watching Captain America. Some things... happened that night but I don't want to get too much into detail. The only thing that had happened was that Dan had gotten very angry at Lia.

The movie nights continued, each being fun and different, until the Truth or Dare addiction began. As I said before, it was fine the first few nights but now it had gotten out of control. You were forced to play whether you wanted to or not. Someone had threatened to shun Brooke if she hadn't played. You were also called a weakling if you chose not to play (I think that it was supposed to be taken as a joke though). This had all stopped after we talked about it but during this time, there was no way out. The only way I could escape was either by taking the insults they threw at me or trying to just listen to whatever video Shelby wanted to show me. I would've been okay with the Truth or Dare sessions if I was given a choice whether I wanted to play or not. That was a long time ago and it's over now. I now feel more comfortable playing and we've long since then fixed the peer-pressure issue and Truth or Dare was given more of freedom whether we chose to play or not.
