Well, it's been two years I guess. And I must say, this group chat has come a long way from a simple, friendly summer chat in 2014 to a still simple, still friendly all-year round chat in 2016. However, a lot has happened in the interim of 2 years and thanks to this story, all of those major events in the group chat's history have been documented. Things like the Brooke and Thomas Situation in the Golden Age, the interminable Dark Ages, and many other things. And with all of that chaos going on around us, we really deserve a round of applause. Go ahead, applaud yourselves group chat members.
To be completely honest, I didn't think this group chat would survive past freshman year of high school. I thought that somehow it would slowly fall under the pressures of school and no one would have time for it. I was wrong, obviously, and the group chat is as lively as it's ever been (lively in the sense that it's WAY better than the Dark Ages). Not much has really changed since my last chapter though. The chat has been in a...stagnant state for the past couple of months now and I believe that this is how it be for the rest of its lifetime. But this isn't bad; this is actually how it should be if we hope to keep this chat going for another year. You see, the Golden Age was full of good moments but it was also full of bad moments. Those bad moments basically being fights. And what's different about back then and today is that those fights rarely, if ever, happen, which means that we are left with the good moments. Not one fight has broken out since last year, and that's something to be proud of.
If it appears as if I'm just listing the accomplishments of the group chat that's because I am. We've come a long way and the fact that we've remained intact since then is, well, incredible.
Now, on this last note, I would just like to say that I'm ecstatic that this group chat has made it two years and I hope, and hopefully everyone else does too, that we can push through another year. There's no reason not to. Why end what isn't yet finished? It's not bad to keep this group chat going because in the end it strengthens the friendships of those within it. I may not text as much as I used to but that doesn't mean that I want this to end, at least when it doesn't have to. So on that, happy anniversary, happy Fourth of July, have a great summer, and thank you for reading.
