"MAAAAAAAAAAA!"

You practically scream as you run towards your mother, the woman holding her arms out to you with a smile so wide that you thought it would split her face in half. You slam into her and thankfully your dad was there to press his hand to her back so she didn't fall.

"My baby!" she coos and swings you about. You couldn't help but giggle.

It was Parent's weekend. With the students out on the quad, hugging their parents or siblings. It was a joyous day for most.

"Oooh, let me look at you." your mother cups your face in her hands and you can't help the grin that appears. She was pushing so much motherly love onto you that your chest squeezed gently, your own emotions shifting to one of comfort. You felt safe. You would always remember this feeling and the fact that you could feel it as clear as day made your eyes prick.

"Oh sweetheart, why are you crying?" your mother said with a soft chuckle as she hugs you to her chest.

"I'm just so happy to see you." you say, letting the little sobs die out.

"I think it's the abilities." you heard your father say. Your mother makes a quiet 'oh' sound before you pull away. You turn to your dad and quickly hug his waist.

"Hey there squirt." he hugs you close and you can feel his fatherly love wash over you.

"MAMAAAAAA!"

You pick your head up and look over your shoulders to see Enid running towards your little group.

"Is that my little Enid?" your mother gasps and is suddenly knocked over by your best friend.

"Oh crap." your father reaches down to help his wife up but she swatted him away, content to enjoy the loving her daughters best friend was giving.

Your mother looks up at you, "I take back what I said, Enid is my favorite daughter."

"I regret inviting this mutt over." you grumbled, half-heartedly as Enid stuck her tongue out at you. Your father just chuckled from your side.

You introduced your parents to Divina and Bianca. She already met Yoko because she knew Yoko's mother. That's sort of how you managed to get her as a roommate. It just worked out that way.

Divina then in turn introduced her parents to yours.

"Y/m/n, it's been so long."

The group of parents stopped talking as a soothing voice passed over them, the kind that puts you at ease. Your mother turned around and instantly her face lit up.

"Tisha!" She exclaims and holds her arms out, just not as wide as she did with you. Then she stopped part way to admire the woman's dress. "My, you look fabulous!"

Morticia giggled into her hand before stepping closer to wrap your mother up in a delicate yet friendly hug. "It's been ages."

"I'm sorry we missed you last year, the husband needed to take a trip to see his mother." your mother shared.

Morticia gave your mother a gentle smile, her hands holding onto the other woman's arms.

"I didn't know your mom knew Wednesday's." Divina said from next to you. You turn to look at her and smile.

"Yeah, they went to school here together. They were close friends back then but lost contact when my mother had my brother."

"So how did you know?" Bianca asked.
