A/n: SIKE!!! I'm back. I can't seem to end this book when I have so many ideas for it. I have found that I quite enjoy writing Wednesday with a slight AU undertone. So that's what this is. Granted, she'll still be as cold as a dead body with rigor mortis but you'll get to see her grow as a teen/young adult. Right before your very eyes.
You will also get to dive into the reader's past and see how she, too, grows into an exceptional young woman.

Nevermore was filled with a flurry of students and teachers alike. It was the last day for everyone to gather their things and head home for Christmas vacation. You were in your room, packing your suit cases, while dancing to Otherside by The red hot chili peppers. Yoko allowed you to play the music as long as she picked the playlist. Thankfully you made one with all of her favorite songs so it was a win-win for both of you.
"Divina will come to mine for a few days, and then I'll head to hers for the rest of that week. I won't leave until christmas eve."
Yoko was telling you her plans for the two and a half week break. You listened dutifully while folding up some clothes.
"Did your mom tell you about the dinner she was having for christmas?" Yoko asked.
"Yeah, she said she wanted to invite everyone she knew but I told her I didn't want a large party so we compromised."
You turn around to walk to your desk and start packing up your pens and notebooks you plan to bring with you.
"Your family, Enid's, and The Addams's."
"Does Wednesday even celebrate christmas?" Yoko asked.
"I mean... probably." You shrug then walk over to your bed. "I don't see why not."
"It's all color and happiness. I feel like they would terrorize carolers if they had the chance to."
You laugh at the thought.
"I mean, I would too if some freaky singers belted out Christmas songs all evening in my front yard." Yoko then followed up with that last bit which had you laughing again.
"If they do celebrate the holiday then I'm sure it's in their own kooky way." you say as you zip up your suitcase.
The door to the dorm room opens and Enid skips in with a wide smile on her face, her hair bobbing around as she moves. You look up just in time to see Wednesday follow in after her. She gave the girl a withering look before her gaze was transfixed towards yours and you were struck with relief the moment your eyes met. You can't help but to smile.
"Ladies." Yoko nodded. Enid came to her side and helped her with some of her packing. Wednesday came to you.
"I want to extend an offer to you."
"Oh yeah?"
You look up and turn to face the other girl. She kept a respectable amount of space between you but you could tell through her eyes that she wanted to be closer.
Wednesday ignored your response and continued on with her own. "My mother has informed me that we will not be going out of town for the holidays since we're coming to your home for christmas dinner."
You cock your head and listen to her speak. Wednesday lifts her chin up as she addresses you.
"I would like for you to come back to New Jersey with me. For the last week of our break."
When she stops you blink at her request. "You want me to come stay at your house?"
"Yes," Wednesday furrowed her brow. "That is what I said."
