It's been a few weeks since Wednesday's confession. Nothing really changed besides Wednesday joining your group of friends. She didn't hang out with Xavier anymore, and he barely even looked your way. Whatever Wednesday had done, it worked in your favor. Though that didn't stop you from being curious still.

Upon said confession, you learned that Wednesday was old fashioned when it came to being with someone. Because now she's courting you.

"What does that mean??" You asked Yoko one night as you sat in your chair.

"Basically, Marriage is the end goal."

You blink rapidly at this information as the thought of marrying the Addams girl crossed your mind.

"....we're 16."

"No, listen." Yoko placed her book aside before she got up off her bed and walked over to her desk. "Courtship is a very serious thing. It means that the pair will spend time together, spending time getting to know one another. It's a time where dating isn't casual, but intimate with the expectations of marriage at the end of it all."

You feel like you understand, but the prospect of marrying Wednesday was still a little foreign. You have had one ex before her but that only lasted a few months.

"Y/n... if you're not serious about this then you need to be honest with Wednesday."

"I'm serious about Wednesday. I-..." You stop and look down to the pen in your hand. "...she's different, Yoko. I know I only have one person to go off of but Wednesday, she feels different. She feels... right."

Yoko let a smile cross her lips. "Then there's nothing you have to worry about. Just do your best to court her in return."

You go quiet for a second then slowly sway in your chair.

"How do you court an Addams?"

Yoko shrugged. "Beats me."

She leaves you and your thoughts to go back to her book. You started to think.

Wednesday isn't overly affectionate, she hates surprises and she'd destroy any cute gift you would probably give her. This is where that courtship comes in handy. You get to know her and find out what she likes.

You pull your phone from your skirt pocket and quickly type out a message to Enid. It only took her a minute before she replied back.

Y/n/n💞: Is Wednesday awake?

'Nid🌝: Its her writing 1hr. Y?

Y/n/n💞: Perfect. Ask Thing if Wednesday would prefer a text or a letter.

You wait a few moments, staring at your phone as you chew on the hoodie string. Your body is still spinning slightly as you move left and right.

Enid's text comes in and you read it quickly.

'Nid🌝: He said she prefers letters.

Y/n/n💞: okay. What about riddles or poems?

It took Enid a few seconds before she was replying back.

'Nid🌝: He said he wasn't sure. Either or should be fine.

Y/n/n💞: Alright. Tell him thank you for me.

Enid had texted you back but you didn't look at it. You were already in search of a good riddle or poem that Wednesday might actually like.
