It took the rest of the morning just to contain the fire that had swallowed your house. Everything was gone.

Your father was permitted to go inside and see if he could find anything of value and luckily the large safe where he kept his more valuable possessions wasn't damaged. Your mother followed after him as did Gomez and Morticia.

Your father, Benny (Or Benjamin), had unlocked the safe and sighed in relief when every last document and file was still inside. He grabbed something that was rolled up before untying the string around it and opening it.

It was a blueprint. For the house that was now burnt to a crisp. Gomez placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll help you." Gomez said. "We'll put our heads together and help you build a dreadfully fabulous home."

Benny turned to Gomez and smiled at him gratefully. "Thank you."

Morticia stayed with your mother, her arm hooked with hers as they checked out the wreckage that used to be the kitchen.

"Unfortunate events like this are never easy to see." Morticia said. She turned to your mother. "I'm sorry for your suffering, Celeste."

"I just don't understand it. We did nothing wrong." Cel said, tears trekking down her cheeks. "Why can't they just leave us alone."

"Humans are despicable creatures." Morticia stated. The woman barely got angry but this took the cake.

Celeste sighed, it came out shaky. "Tish... did I make a mistake moving my family here?"

Morticia watched as her best friend began to shake. More tears followed after the few from before. The Addams woman released Celeste's arm and cupped her cheeks before wiping away a few stray tears. Their eyes meet.

"You did what you thought was best. But this was not your fault. It was those infuriating girls. They are responsible for this and I hope that they get what's coming to them."

Celeste just nodded then accepted the hug her friend offered.

"Though, I must admit, they did you a favor. Those pastels in your kitchen looked unnaturally...bright."

This caused Celeste to suck in a chuckle as she pulled away from the other woman.

Away from the parents stood the three girls. You stood between Enid and Wednesday. Enid had her arm wrapped around your left one while Wednesday held your right hand in hers.

"I cannot believe they would do this." Enid said.

"I can."

She looked over and saw the emotionless expression on your face. It worried her. She shifted her gaze to Wednesday's who met it head on, she could tell Wednesday was worried for you as well.

Nyx sat on your shoulders and if it weren't for the ever lasting comfort from all three of them you probably would have crumbled.

"Yoko won't be happy about this." Enid said again.

You scoff. "She might break her rule and hunt them down one by one."

Enid shivered. "That girl is vicious when it comes to her friends."

"I don't know." You say and look to your right. "Wednesday almost cut out Tori's heart for me."

When Wednesday heard her name her shoulders flinched a bit. She didn't look at you, but you could feel the way she was proud of your praise. She squeezed your hand and you smiled.
