The drive to the Sinclair's was mostly silent, aside from the music that played softly in the background. After your fight with Wednesday, your family parted ways from hers. Your mother decided that you would all drop Enid off at home instead of making her take a plane. Though you knew that on the way back to New Jersey, your father had planned to stop at the Tanaka's. Just so you could see Yoko and your parents could speak with her parents about adult things.

You didn't care either way, you were currently nursing your wounded ego and heart from realizing that you had made a mistake and Wednesday was giving you the cold shoulder for it. During the ride, your mother, father and Enid all took turns sneaking glances your way. And no, you weren't oblivious to them, you just simply ignored them because you didn't want to talk about it. At least not right now.

Once you got to Enid's house, you waited till she got out and said bye to your parents before slipping out of the vehicle so you could walk with her to the front door. She held your hand all the way; she felt sad and worried for you.

"Are you going to be okay?" she asked.

"Yeah," you sigh. Looking up at her, you give the best smile you could muster but it didn't quite meet your eyes. "Did mom tell your mom about your clothes?"

"Yeah, she wasn't happy about it but she was thankfully kind towards your mom about the house fire. Even offered to help if need be."

This time you hold a smaller smile before stepping close to Enid to hug her. She engulfs your body in a bear hug to which you happily melt under. Feeling her unconditional love for you.

"Whatever happened, it'll be okay." she whispered.

You bite your lip to keep from crying again and instead sucked in a deep breath before pulling away with a nod and a wobbly smile.

"Thank you Enid. I'll text you about it later, I just-" you feel your throat close up so Enid pulls you in for another hug.

"Shhh. You don't have to talk about it now. Just promise me you'll be okay."

All you could do was nod. And press your face into her shoulder as you cling to the other girl for a few moments longer than normal.

"So what's going on?"

When you arrived at Yoko's house, you found that you were going to spend the night with them before heading back out the following morning. This gave you enough time to think about everything. About how you've been treating certain situations revolving around you and Wednesday.

"I think I fucked up."

"Damn, looks like I'm gonna owe Enid 20 bucks now."

You glare at Yoko who just grins.

"I mean, oh no. What happened?" Yoko said with faux sympathy.

With a groan you flop back on her bed and press your hands to your face.

"What am I doing wrong Yoko?"

"Well, tell me what happened and I might be able to give you the answer you need."

You let your arms drop down so you could stare up at the other girl's ceiling. And then for the next hour you explained to Yoko everything, from the time you first met Tori to now. It was funny how no one knew about that, not even your childhood best friend who you sort of grew up with before you moved to Colorado all those years ago. Enid was your best friend but Yoko was your childhood friend. And the only people that knew about Tori were your mother and father.
