"She's knocked out cold." Valentine said pointing at Valley who was in the back seat of the car out cold.
Quincy shook his head and picked up his 11 year old while grasping Valentines hand to walk into the rented out area that the family reunion was taking place in.
"I'm so nervous." Valentine said with a small but visibly nervous smile plastered on her face.
"Nun to be nervous about." Quincy spoke finally making it into the building meeting a shitload of family members ready with the remember me lines.
"Y'all woke my baby girl up loud ass bitches." Quincy groaned setting down Valley. The family didn't seem to take any offense either they just laughed it off and swept Valley over to the other kids her age that she quickly began to play with.
"Who's this?" A older woman said coming up to Valentine touching all over Valentine's face and clothes. Valentine was visibly uncomfortable and quickly moved from the lady's grasp.
"Get away from that girl you crackhead." Another order lady said throwing a slipper and water bottle at the woman who was touching Valentine.
The woman managed to dodge the slipper but the water bottle hit her eye making her disappear elsewhere.
"Nova gots to leave that dope alone twitchy ass." Quincy said shaking his head and pulling Valentine into his arms.
"She been on that shit since she was 18 she ain't never gone leave that shit alone typical Yonkers crackhead but who's this baby?" The mid 30's looking woman questioned picking up her slipper and sliding it right back on her foot.
"This my girlfriend and future wife introduce ya' self mamas." Quincy said nudging Valentine forward allowing her to speak for herself something she wasn't used to doing around a group of people.
"I'm Valentine you must be his Nana I've heard great things about you." Valentine said holding out a hand to shake.
"You got a Nola Baby son?!" His grandmother said pulling Valentine in for a big hug rather than a handshake which typically would've made Valentine freak out but like Quincy said her energy was so similar to his that she wasn't in an off putting position.
"Yea that's my luh yeah...that's how you say it right baby?" Quincy asked snuggling his face in her neck.
"I mean that's how you say it but your pronunciation is so New Yorker." Valentine said poking fun of his accent.
