I sighed contentedly as I watched Kyrah exit the room. For the first time in what I now knew to be centuries, I was happy. The constant dryness at the back of my throat had been quenched, thanks to her, as well as some of the dryness that shriveled my heart. My body ached and my eyes were still watery, but I had never felt better. Seven hundred years... I had no idea what to think. How? But what baffled me even more than that was the fact a thirteen-year-old girl had actually found the courage to speak to me. She knew I was Herobrine. She knew what I had done. She knew I had murdered countless innocents. Yet somehow, she was able to see past that. She saw me as a person and not a bloodthirsty monster. It made my head spin just thinking about it. Was this what Steve meant?
She was coming back! She was coming back? I was so elated and confused. I just stared at the black ceiling trying to sort out everything that had just happened. I wrestled with swirling cauldrons of emotions that brought sadness, joy, confusion, and disbelief crashing down on my mind in a huge whirling tsunami. My mind had been dormant all this time and just didn't have the capacity for all the excitement. My head and just about everything else hurt. Even though I was destined to be trapped in these chains for eternity, the future suddenly looked bright.
Time ticked by and a suspicion crept its way into my brain. What if she didn't come back? What if she ran away and never wanted to see me again? What if she forgot all about me? What if I was alone again? All the happiness I had been experiencing was suddenly sucked down a whirlpool of hopeless despair. She left! She'll never come back! I was alone, alone, alone! I nearly broke down in tears but heard footsteps echoing down the corridor outside the room. A warm sensation that ririvaledhe one I had when I first saw light grew min y chest and then exploded into the rest of my body. SHE CAME BACK!!! I sighed again, as sadness dragged down my high spirits. I would have to tell her at some point. I should go ahead and get it over with.
