{WEDNESDAY 6:34 AM}

Casey lost all sense of time, all she knew was that the sun rose a little while ago. Her lips were chapped, her eyes were bloodshot red, her messy bun was fallen out and tangled on her shoulders. To be quite frank she stunk too. The tears dried on her shirt and her face, she just felt numb now.

She was sitting in an alley way next to a calico kitten who was staring at her intently and a dumpster that stunk to high heaven, the sun didn't touch here. It was all darkness, but just ahead was the sun. She wondered if that's what her mom and sister saw.

Casey coughs a bit and picks up her phone to call Hobie, it was dead. Mmcht.

She left her suitcase with her charger in it at the warehouse.

She doesn't even have a real watch so she could conjure a portal and get back to HQ, find out what's going on with the anomalies and what happened to her family. What was her dad doing there? How did they all die? Yarina was just seven years old.

Casey winces and looks over at the kitten that had been comforting her all night.

"You're mine now" she holds on to the wall to help herself up and scoops the kitten into her arms, it just melts into her arms and yawns widely, Casey smiles and makes her way out of the darkness and into the light.

"GOD DAMN" she screeches when she makes it out of the alley way and the sun blazes into her eyes, Casey blinks a few times to adjust and notices the store Hobie took her to to get pads and snacks. Perfect, the guy there would know how to contact Hobie.

I wonder how hes feeling, he looked shaken up too

Casey wanders across the street without looking both ways because it's fucking early in the morning and rarely anyone is going to be out driving this early unless youre a psychopath who gets up early as fuck to go "get in touch with nature" or some shit.

She pushes through the ringing door and staggers around, she had no sleep last night.

Quincy was in the back scanning new items that just came in but perks up when he hears his ringing door.

thats odd, no one comes in this early

He checks his phone, yep it's 6:45 in the morning and he just opened up the store. Whatever, it's a customer.

Clearing his throat, Quincy makes his way out of the back and stands behind the counter.

"Hey! what c-" he stops when he sees a familiar woman, her clothes were dirtied and baggy (of course they're Hobie's), her hair was kind of matted, her face was ashed, her eyes were bloodshot red, her lips were crusty, her hands were scraped and bloody, and she was holding a tiny calico kitten that was playing with the necklace she had around her neck.

The girl was staring at him with no expression on her face.

Quincy was staring back with his mouth dropped, he slowly reaches for his phone and goes to contacts.

"Sweetie I'm going to call Hobie... okay? you hungry?" he leans across the counter and grabs a Snickers bar, he throws it to her and it lands on the kitten. It glares at him.
