3. An acting Idol

I woke up on my fluffy couch surrounded by notes. Papers covered in writing. For the past 3 days I've been studying the character I'll be playing in the film "Dearest Mother" Filming for me will start in 2 days and I'm kind of worried. What if I'm not convincing enough? What if my co-actors don't like me? What if my gem is able to be seen in a scene! I breathed out and remembered Words from a wise lady from the elderly home the group helped at. " Don't listen to What-if's they're only there if your Anxious or Curious" the words helped me calm down and I reviewed my notes along with my lines and important things about my character .

I looked at the notes " Sassy but is a good guidance" " Knows about the stalker doesn't know its the mother" " killed on the beach body found in water" I spent a good 20 minutes reviewing after all that's I've been doing for the past 3 days reviewing the same things over and over . The group doesn't have a performance till my last day of filming due to good timing, and I don't have much else to do. My entire life is practically Idol work and the Internet. I always complain when we're given vacations, there's nothing I can do then, other then scroll the internet and practice for our return, I never go anywhere. Maybe next time I'm given the chance, I could visit some place nice.

I decided I had memorized enough. I've been doing so for days and it's time to do something else. I grabbed my phone off the nearby coffee table and decided to order some Food, I should change out of my pyjama's  and shower as well. I ordered some fries. I prepped the shower and got in If I had extra time I'd take a bath as well. I finished the shower and decided that I do have said extra time. After my relaxing bath I changed into some fresh clothes, a white turtle neck cut out shoulders on the long sleeves and some light brown, nearly tan silk pants with  simple white tennis shoes. My hair could use a good brushing as well I brushed my hair and heard the doorbell ring. I walked over while putting my hair into a simple Ponytail. I smiled as I opened the door

Dottie : Thanks very much !

I paid and gave a 13$ tip They waved goodbye and I shut the door. Ready to eat my food. I placed it on the counter and grabbed the fries I mightve eaten too fast I hadn't eaten I days after all. I wish I could've savored the taste but it was too good! I threw away my trash and decided I needed to get out of the house. Maybe just a quick walk to the park, I don't have any non-idol friends. So that's off the list I took a quick walk to the park and back .

I smiled as I was on set I was wearing my hair in 2 low buns wearing long over the shoe jeans over white shoes. With a slightly oversized white crop top covered by a Grey jacket. I was dressed as the character I was playing, Evelyn. I tried to calm myself down as It came time for my first scene. In the scene I first met the children. We walked onto the set and got ready.

Evelyn ( Dottie) : Mom, who are they?

I looked up at the woman playing my mother a few blinks and a purposeful voice Crack at "they" to sound more childlike.

Mom ( Ivana): Eve,  these are your new siblings, Theodore and Gwendolyn

She said in a very controlling and mature voice, her acting was amazing. I made a bit of a shocked expression then a subtle pout with a sly smirk

Evelyn ( Dottie) : You never told me I'd get two built in buddies.

The women playing my mother gave a warm and comforting smile at the scripted joke . Her phone began to ring as scripted and she walked of while saying

Mom( Ivana) : I've gotta take this call you 3 get along now

Before walking into the next room off set. I looked away from her and towards the 2 actors playing my little siblings. I crossed my arms and focused all my weight to one leg making myself somewhat lean.

Evelyn(Dottie) : So Do you two like telling stories?

I giggled at the end of the sentence before hearing a Mighty " CUT " from the director we poured of set and the director waved me over .

Director : Dottie that was perfect, you really conveyed the emotion in that scene, keep it up.

I continued over to my seat as the next scene didn't include me, it was the mother breaking out of Prison. The next day we recorded another scene where I spooked the kids into hide and seek in the woods and noticed the mother watching. The next day we filmed a scene where I was meant to be watching the kids but I noticed weird things that night. The next day another scene day in day out until eventually it was time for my characters final scenes, her death on the beach. I stood next to the director as tomorrow we'll be shooting that final scene

Director : As you know we'll be doing a scene on the beach

Dottie : Uh-huh!

Director : well as you may know Empire city has a sever lack of beaches so we're going to be filming I beach city.

Dottie : Beach city?

I asked with an breath? Anywhere but there? What if I run into the crystal gems, what if I run into Lapis? They could recognize me. Especially Garnet !

Director : Yep, small place but I've heard they've got great donuts.

Dottie : huh, sounds fun

I said nervously not wanting to ruin the mood. Isn't my last day of shooting the day I also do a performance how am I gonna be at two cities in the same day with a time limit? I walked over to my manager about to bring it up to him.

Manager : Don't worry I already know, that's why the performance is going to be in beach city. It'll be a hit tropical beach vibes

Oh fudge.

If Connie shows up which she most definitely will she seems like a super fan and she wouldn't miss a performance happening in her own city. And if she goes Steven might go and with Steven comes the crystal  gems and... I'm in A royal heap of trouble right now. I need to make sure nothing goes wrong, my gem needs to be as hidden as possible I need to be unrecognizable because my past could come back to bit me, this is terrible..
