~Carlos POV~
Ever since we kissed the other day I haven't gotten TK out of my head. I was falling for him so fast. I don't think I've ever fallen so hard. He was so sweet and kind, no matter who you were he tried to always find the good in others. The way his eyes light up a room. I could find his face in a crowd In a heartbeat.
'See you soon' my phone dings.
I couldn't wait to actually officially be going on a date. He deserves a real date, a romantic gesture. Hell he deserves a million times more than that. I had to show him how much he is loved in this world.
'❤️ yes you will' I type quickly back.
I headed out to where we are meeting for dinner and then we are going from there. I got there before TK which was surprising but he must have not been so far along or something happened. I got us a booth and ordered some waters.
Ten minutes passed by.
The waiter asked if I wanted to order.
"No just give me a bit longer" i said
'Hey Tk are you okay?!' I messaged him
No reply for another five minutes.
I called him and it went straight to voicemail. Something deep down didn't feel right. I called up a close friend at the station and asked him to gps locate his cell number.
"Looks like last known cell tower location was, close to the airport riverside dr and the 71"
What the hell. That's twenty minutes away from the restaurant and his home in the other direction. I called up Captain Strand.. I mean Owen.
"Owen what's going on?"
"Um I'd ask you the same thing, what is going on is everything okay?!"
I explained the entire situation and where TKs last location was. Then my phone dinged
'Alex. Help.'
I dropped everything and raced back to my car.
No. No. This can't happen. I promised I'd protect him, I should have picked him up.
I swung by the station, getting a cruiser car. That would allow me to track his cell tower pings and speed, legally.
*Ding*
'Airport, he has Gun'
That's all it said. I switched on the lights and floored it to the airport. Calling my dad along the way, he doesn't really support me being gay, but I know he'd do anything for me.
"Hey dad, I need a huge favor... I- a friend is in danger." I started out, explaining more as I drove
He was a good man, he knew what was right and wrong. He said he would meet me there. I thanked him a million times.
The cell tower pings ended at the airport tower. I knew he was there. At least if they get to security the gun will be out of play. I was so dumb. How could I let this happen?
~TK's pov~
As I headed out to my car, happy to go see Carlos I saw a car pull up at our driveway. A bone chilling voice came from behind the wheel.
"Hey babe" I turned around already knowing who it was
"I think you should leave" I tried saying something.
My feet about to start heading for the door back inside. I just need to go inside and call the cops.
"I think you should shut up, and get in" he said.
He held up a handgun out the window pointing it at my head and then to the door. I couldn't run. My shaking hand's reached for the passenger side door handle. Clicking it open and sliding in. I said a silent prayer that Carlos would realize something's wrong. If not... I'm gone, he's either going to kidnap me or kill me.
"I didn't want to have to do that, but you left me no choice." He muttered and took off south away from my house.
I didn't speak, barely breathed for almost ten minutes. I got a text from Carlos, and soon after a call. I couldn't answer it.
"Where are you taking me" I squeaked out
"Home baby"
I felt sick, glancing down at his gun. I was able to shoot a quick text to Carlos
'Alex. Help'
And a bit later once we parked I texted
'Airport, he has gun'
Then he snatched my phone from me. Tossing both our phones in a trash can in the parking lot. Holding his gun to my backside and leading me into the airport.
The Austin airport wasn't as big as DFW, but it's still a decent sized place. Without connection to others, it's like a needle in a haystack finding us. I'm screwed. I'm going back to living with him. Maybe I could tell a security guard, or somehow pull his gun on him.
He sat me down like a child in a seat.
"Don't move" he gripped my forearm so tightly.
I closed my eyes and nodded. He went to the ticket counter and started getting two tickets back to New York. I glanced over at the lady next to me. She overheard Alex yelling at me a moment ago.
"Can I send a text to someone" I whispered to her keeping my eyes on Alex.
She nodded and slid me her phone. Seeming like she understood I was not okay.
'American AirlinesTicketing. Hurry.'
Praying I remembered Carlos's number correctly. A security officer was passing infront of me and I almost spoke up but then Alex turned around facing me with a evil grin. He walked back over to me, pulling me up to my feet.
"Walk or I shoot you, security line. now." He said
As we were going towards airport security, I saw two police officers standing outside of a few doors. Alex wouldn't risk pulling his gun out. I calculated my risks as we got closer.
Then I stood up, for the first time since everything started. I stood up for myself and fought back. I got right in front of the two cops, even if they didn't believe that I was a domestic violence victim, they would search him and find the gun.... I elbowed him as hard as I could in the gut.
"HE HAS A GUN. He abducted me!" I yelled as loud as I could.
And in that same moment I saw him.
Carlos.
