Chapter: Hat Kid's Spaceship

A girl with a blue bow had suddenly appeared on the universal teleporter in Hat Kid's Spaceship. Her purple eyes scanned the ship. Noticing that the individual that she was looking for was absent, she yelled.

"Hat Kid! It's me, Bow Kid! I'm here!"

The child waited for a few seconds, but there was no response. Confused by this, she decided to look around. As she stepped out of the transportation machine, she noticed the big screen that usually displayed Hat Kid's number of Time Pieces. Instead of the usual 40, it was only one.

'That's strange,' The girl thought.

She then made her way to a purple ladder, climbing down to the first floor. She turned her head left and right, wondering where her hatted friend was. She felt a sudden bump near her leg, and looked down to see Rumbi.

"Welcome back, Hat Kid," it said. It then went back a few feet, and looked at the girl more carefully. The robot cleaner scanned her.

That was then when it realized it wasn't Hat Kid. Instead, it was Bow Kid. A girl with dark curly hair, with a headband with a bow attached to it. Instead of a cape, she had a green jacket, with cat pockets. The pants were instead a blue skirt. It was DEFINITELY not Hat Kid.

"Sorry!" It said.

"It's okay, Rumbi," Bow Kid reassured.

The girl's eyes looked around the main hall again.

"Do you know where Hat Kid is?" She asked.

The robot made a clicking sound, and then a recording started to play, in Hat Kid's voice.

"Dear Bow Kid, I'm off to re-collect Time Pieces! This mean man punched a hole in my ship, and everything got lost. I have to get my Time Pieces back to power the ship. So just wait for me, alright? I promise I'll be back before nighttime!"

The robot clicked again, ending the recording. Bow Kid looked back at the screen that displayed the number of Time Pieces.

"Well, that surely explains that."

She moved her eyes back onto the robot. Rumbi's digital expression showed worry, however. Concerned, Bow Kid crouched down to it's level.

"What's wrong, Rumbi?" She asked.

Rumbi quickly turned around and went up the ramp, and to the screen on the second floor. Bow Kid followed it.

"Is there something you need to show me?" The girl asked.

"Boop!" The robot said.

"Boop?" Bow Kid questioned.

"Boop!" Rumbi repeated.

She didn't quite understand what Rumbi was trying to tell her, especially since it was just one word.

"What do you mean by 'Boop'"?" She asked.

Unfortunately, Rumbi couldn't explain properly. Rumbi was programmed with a soundboard so it could communicate, but there was limited options. There were many words that the robot could speak. In fact, Hat Kid herself had programmed this very robot! Well, some of it, as Rumbi originated from a factory.

"Boop! Boop!" It kept repeating. It tried to gesture toward the screen.

Noticing where it was facing, Bow Kid looked at the screen. She put two and two together.

"Oh, you want me to tap the screen?" She asked, wanting to check if she was correct.

The robot replied with a 'yes'. Bow Kid nodded and booped the screen. It showed how far the ship was, from some sort of disaster to home. The icon of Hat Kid had seemed to stay in place, the spaceship staying in one place. Bow Kid looked back at the robot.
