(A/N: Don't worry guys, I didn't abandon this. Some IRL stuff was happening, and I also needed to find the time and motivation to check the chapter for mistakes and complete it. Enough of this boring stuff, enjoy :)

Chapter: Subcon Forest
Act 5: Contractual Obligations

The child didn't have to run far, as she immediately saw her 'father' speaking with someone. She started to run to him. While Shadow Puppet was excitedly running over, The Snatcher was in the middle of disposing his contractor. He just popped his head off, and now he just needed to toss his body into the abyss. (Poor guy...)

Before he could trash the body, his 'daughter' had ran up to him. Not wanting her to see the corpse, he quickly grabbed his body and his head. He impulsively threw the body into the nearby swamp, feeding the hands that resided inside.

"Dad! Dad! I found the girl!" She excitedly said. "I also trapped her!"

"Really?" He said, unbelieving of her statement. "Show me, then."

The two headed back to where the bow girl was trapped. Snatcher was genuinely surprised. He didn't expect Shadow Puppet to actually manage to successfully kidnap her.

"Great work, kid!" He said. "Leave the rest to me."

Shadow Puppet nodded and ran off.

While that conversation was going on, Bow Kid recognized the voice. Fear stuck into her again.

'I don't wanna die-!' She thought.

The rope that held the rug suddenly cut. Bow Kid started to fall. When she landed, a purple platform appeared under her. The sky began to change purple, and the area began to alter. It was now some other dimension. There was thunder, and screaming souls in the background. Bow Kid was frozen in shock.

She was startled when the ghost suddenly appeared. He gave her a jumpscare, making her shake in fear.

"AHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" He yelled. "FOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!"

The ghost looked at the cowering girl, amused. He continued.

"You blew it! You totally screwed yourself! Nobody enters my home and leaves in one piece!"

The frightened child now knew. She was going to die, isn't she? By the way how that sentenced was worded, it seemed so.

"But hold on a minute... you get to live! That's right, aren't you lucky!?" He said, completely surprising Bow Kid.

"I... do-?" She whispered.

"You won the lottery, because I just happen to be missing a braindead servant," he said, the word 'braindead servant' having a more menacing tone.

"Servant-?" Bow Kid questioned.

"That's right! The old one got himself killed, his head popped off, so now I need a new towel boy!" He said. He then summoned a pre-written contract, as well as a quill.

"So tell you what. I've got a piece of paper here! Don't worry about the details, I just want you to sign right here at the bottom," he instructed.

Bow Kid watched as the contract appeared a few feet away. She approached the floating parchment. She took hold of it and read its contents.

To summarize, he wanted her to locate Subcon Village, murder some spirits, and clean Subcon Well. It states that he will also take her soul, but she could keep anything she found while at work. At the back, it humorously says "I hereby totally agree to do this Snatcher dude's dirty work. And also absolve him of all injuries I will most likely sustain from this work. Also, I'll give up my soul. No takesy backsies."
