Chapter Thirty-three

As soon as I enter my pack there are wolves everywhere running around and standing in groups some huddled close weary of their surroundings like something might jump out. Fearing the worst thing that might've happened to my pack I race to the pack house where even more of my wolves crowd around. The groups whisper to each other asking questions some of which cannot be answered while some are speculation.

I rush past a group of females who are talking about Scarlett, and I decide to stop for a little while to see what they have to say about her luckily, they don't notice my presence nor have others deciding to keep to themselves.

"Do you think the Alphas mate has disappeared again?" One of the young adult females asks spurring on more questions as to why she might leave like maybe she didn't like it here or she just wanted to go back to being a rouge having to fight for every day. Perhaps she liked being alone and not having an imposing task of helping the alpha take care of the pack.

"What if she was taken instead, maybe that's why he's in such a panic?" One of her friends asks who happens to have hit the mark on guessing. Alas they don't know this and I plan on keeping it that way for a while until everything is sorted out. Some of the group look shocked and nod their head agreeing with her.

"Still, he should have been here to protect us we are his pack after all his mate is just a nobody rouge, who has killed people do we really need someone like that here?" She states confidently not seeming to trust Scarlett the girls look to her then down cast their eyes thinking it over some look sceptical with most decide that it makes the most sense. It leads them to backtrack and to think that she may have left on purpose not wanting to be apart of this pack at all.

"That is true she does seem to be quite ruthless and only do what she wants without caring for others." The last one in their small group states, they all nod. Somehow they have heard of a bit of Scarlett's past and what she did but they don't know the full story heck even I don't know. Stepping forward to confront them a sudden voice shouts cutting though the crowd of wolves apparently having heard what they were saying.

"HEY! that's not true she cares for her friands and for the alpha, she just doesn't waste her time on gossiping bitches like you" Arya storms up to them yelling her frustration I smile faintly happy to know that my mate had made at least a friend since she was here. And a mighty one at that it seems although she is small, she has a fire in her that I suspect was helped to ignite by my mate. I go to leave when she comes running over to me leaving the girls in shock stunned to the spot. Seeming to not be used to her speaking her mind.

"Do you know if Scarlett was taken, or not can you please tell me" She Rapidly questions stumbling I try to think of what to tell her concluding that it would be the best thing to tell her the truth.

"Yes, she was taken I don't know who or where she was taken to and I am trying to figure that out, but for right now you cant tell anyone else and there isn't anything you can do to help I am sorry" She quickly nods her head misty eyed she comes up with a excuse to leave and heads off into the crowd.

Finally able to head to my destination I barge into the pack house and demand for everyone to get out the only people that don't rush out at my command are Decker, Emmet, Greyson and Mike they stand waiting for me. "What the hell is going on here" I frustratedly asks anyone of them.

"Some of them found out that Scarlett has been taken to who knows where and they are worried that without you being here the pack will be a prime hit for rouges" Decker being the first to speak calmy says what some of the fuss is about.

"Well, it has already happened while you were out" Greyson states unimpressed standing next to Emmet he looks at Decker saying what he forgot to mention to me" Finding a seat I sit down huffing a sigh I rub my forehead knowing one of the only solutions is for me to stay at the pack to keep it from threat. Still wanting to look for Scarlett though it will be difficult to try and do both at the same time hopefully there'll be a middle ground especially with the help of Ensley.
