Casually laying down on the couch reading a book peacefully content to read the day away without a care in the world. When Darius moves from underneath me, he had been laying on his back his read resting on the arm rest as he was doing something on his phone. While I had been sprawled on top of him reading a book. He moves again groaning I sit up still reading my book when he tries to move, I look down at him.

"I need to get up," Huffing I move off him onto the couch and push his legs with mine off the couch and he slides off the cushions onto the floor he mumbles something glancing at me before walking away.

Snorting I roll my eyes continuing to read, hardly noticing his absence as I am enthralled in the winding words of the book. As the characters play out in a wondrous world where werewolves don't rely strictly on dynamics seeming to have more freedom. A girl trapped in with humans until her mate rescues her whisking her away to another world filled with wolves until they all have to live amongst the humans. Yet they seem to thrive among them and are seen as one big happy family that take in strays.

I can't help but think of how the human writer imagines this beautiful place where the wolves are loved and not feared by nearly everyone, how they don't have to hide and keep secret. Yet even though it seems so wondrous and seems like a please I would love to go to, I love it here even more. Finally finding a place that is safe and someone that cares about me that they go so far as to protect me and do whatever they can to get me back.

Putting the book down on the coffee table I sit staring at the book reeling back to the real world when the front door opens and closes, and someone sits down on the couch the tv flicks on. Looking away from the book I turn and see that Decker sits on the couch closer to the end.

"Do you often just invite yourself in?" I question watching as he looks through the channels, he turns from the tv to me and answers.

"Yeah, sometimes you know how he can get, and besides this time he called me over," He smiles and returns to flicking through channels until he finds something of interest.

Decker walks back in sitting next to me exhaustion and frustration etched on his face he leans back into the cushions resting his head back looking up to the ceiling. Unsure of what to do I look to decker, but he is intently watching the tv which is playing a midday melodrama. It surprises me that he would want to watch this that I can't help but to chuckle. Decker looks at me with a glare.

"What are you laughing at,"

"I just didn't expect to see you watching this," I point at the tv as it shows the small-town girl falling for the macho man she shouldn't love.

"I'm waiting for the next show not this sappy stuff, this is what girls would probably watch when they have nothing to do," Giving him a blank stare I toss a pillow at him that hits his in the face he yells out and I laugh at him.

I turn to look at Darious who has closed his eyes seeming to be resting I smile my eyes taking in the way his lashes rest against his cheeks, hoe his hair falls over his eyelids. In graving in my memory, I let him rest. As I am turning around a pillow is shoved at me knocking off the lounge thing the floor with an oof. Shocked I look up at Decker to see his wicked smile growling I get up I lunge at him with the pillow in hand shoving it against his chest as we tumble around play fighting. We end up on the floor I crash into the coffee table sending a cup tumbling to the floor luckily it is empty. I tackle him and we roll around on the ground Decker falls into a chair knocking it over and breaking a leg off of it.

We pause looking at the chair then to the Darius who is staring at us with a disappointed look he shakes his head standing up, he picks up the cup and I sheepishly smile feeling like a kid again. He puts it on the table then moves over to the broken chair putting the broken piece in the bin.
