Chapter Fifty-one

The sun shines down as Darius and I stand outside watching as Headen and Juniper chase and play with each other. Warmth fills me at seeing there happy faces, happy that I was able to change there lives for he better and give them a childhood they can be happy about. There giggles ring out in the clearing as they shift from wolf to person learning how to play and testing each other out.

Juniper our sweet baby girl is a recent addition to the family only being 6 and having to deal with a abusive father. We saved her before he had a chance to take her innocent like as he had done to her mother. We made it to late to save her mother for when we found Juniper her mother's corpse was rotting from a shallow dug out grave. Luckily, we stopped her father and she readily wanted to leave him.

I took her away while Darius stayed behind to deal with her father, and he left him dead in the house to be burnt to ash. It didn't take long for her to take a likening to us and especially Haeden as she had never been able to play with any other kids. Quickly becoming a family of four, and ever since she has been loving it with us.

Two forms jog towards us as they get closer it is apparent that it is Decker and Emmet and as they try to reach Darius and I, they are bombarded by Hadie and June who tackle them to the ground and pounce on them wanting them to play with them. Emmet scoops them up and shakes them about and they laugh even more. Decker able to get up stand up and comes over slightly puffed.

"Man, I don't know how you do it, but I need a break from my mate she is absolutely crazy as well as my kids, by the moon goddess you are lucky you don't have to deal with puppy teeth," He rants as he slings an arm around Darius, all Darius does is chuckle and shake his head.

"Yeah! It hurts so bad, and my mate wants more than one like come on I don't need more than one little nipper," Emmet yells out as he is keeping his ground against my kids trying to play fight with him and them ganging up on him.

"Mum is it lunch time yet I'm hungry and Uncle Emmet is not playing fair," Haeden calls out as he tries to jump on Emmet's back.

"I'm hungry too can we have lunch now," Juniper says from standing watching her brother try climbing up Emmet's legs.

"Yes, come inside and I'll make you lunch," I call out and watch as the heard stampede inside.

Inside I quickly make some sandwiches and hand them out to everyone as well as making sure I make extra for the hungry wolf's pups. Its not long after lunch when Decker and Emmet's mates come knocking at the door wondering where the boys had run off to. Welcoming them in they let their kids down and play.

The rest of the afternoon spent with company which helps wear out the kids, all the adults conversing in all different topics but mainly enjoying time together and slightly away from the kids as they run rampant around the house. By the time the sun has set, and the kids are ready for bed we are saying goodbye to Decker and Emmet's family so they can go home and sleep. While I put Haeden and Juniper to bed with help from Darius. Thus, ending the night with us staying up a bit to watch a movie before falling asleep in each other's arms.
