Metal's finally bloomed into his own person, apart from Eggman's shadow. Heh, speakin' of Shadow, my faker and copy have really bonded, which is a huge relief. Honestly, I was worried Shadow was gonna ... yeah, I'll hold that thought. Anyway, multiple early mornings I've gone down to the kitchen to get a 5:00 am snack and found Shadow and Metal passed out on the counter, with a buffet of food sprawled out around them. Both of them also insist they don't need sleep, and Shadow really doesn't, but Metal takes cat naps because he's too damn stubborn to admit he's not the ultimate life form as well. Everyone who's accepted Metal for who he is, are best buds with him now. Metal loves going shopping, so Amy's thrilled she's got a shopping buddy now. Tails finds his knowledge on Badnik material fascinating. Knuckles loves boxing against Metal. Team Dark takes Metal shooting. I love racing against Metal (and sleeping with him). Cream loves taking Metal to the park and having a tea party with him (thankfully she doesn't remember any of the event's of heroes, otherwise she would have whipped Metal's ass for kidnapping and harming Chocola). The foster children that live in the base love him like a father (or mother. They love putting him in a dress as much as I do). And Vector and him are always gambling (more or less losing their money). Metal's realized just how much more there can be to life other than "kill" and "priority one hedgehog". However, he feels he is indebted for life to the resistance and does whatever he can to help, even at his own loss. "Sonic. SONIC!" Metal called, waving his hands in front of my face. "Hey, knuckles says we're going to an Ice cream parlor! He says ice cream is delicious, even though it doesn't have grapes in it! It must be really good. Anyway, you comin'? Race ya!" he giggled, jumping up and down.

"Yeah! Five second head start!" with that Metal flew off.

"Heh. I'll be there in a Jiffy."
