The past 3 months  being engaged to Dom have been the best of my life . His dad found out about our engagement and has been avoiding us. I feel bad for Dom but he tells me "it's not u baby"

"But he's ur dad and as soon as we got engaged he stared avoiding u" "he won't come around unless I'm gone and even then he won't come to the house how can it not be me" I asked as Dom held me by my hips. We just got off and Ethan will be home in a month so we're enjoying it being just us.

"Baby that's what I wanted to talk to u about. I talked to my mom she's making him come around when we go over this weekend" he said

"Babe I don't wanna impose on his house"

"U won't mom's inviting u over he can be a dick all he wants I talked to mom last weeks ok " I nodded and layed my head on his chest . I'm tired from work and so is he so we're picking up Chinese.

Last week

"So who is she" mom asked

"If u guys would let her come over ud see" I said mom just nodded

"I'll make ur father come ok bring her after work Friday" "I just hope she's good Dom" mom said

"She is and her little boy is adorable." Mom smiled

"What" I asked

"Ur face lit up when u mentioned her son" "uv met him" she asked

"Yea and I love him like my own. I just wish dad would" I said

"Dominique he will . U just have to make him understand ur not throwing ur life away like with ana. "

"I'm not mom" I said looking in her eyes

"Ok tell me about her boy" she said sipping her coffee

"He's 8 he's in NC right now because of the stuff with Sarah's ex but he's coming to live with us after school ends. He's special needs but he had a tablet to communicate with"

"Dominique as long as ur happy I am." Mom said I just smiled and laughed

"I am mom"

Sarah pov

That Friday we arrived at his parents and I was nervous. "Ur ok baby" Dom said as he kissed my head

Dom knocked and his mom answered "uv got to be Sarah please come in . Give a hug dear.."
I hugged her smiling we talked and waited for his dad.

His mom was great but when his dad came home the tension could be cut with a knife.

"Son " he said as he sat down. I looked down and Dom grabbed my hand. "Dad Sarah's here to at least act decent"

"Dom it's ok " I said I didn't want them to think I was putting Dom against them.

"I see her " he said as he ate then got up.

I ate in silence as Dom's brother got there. "I knew I recognized u . I worked ur case in Chicago . " I looked at him I didn't recognize him

"I work for kabp news " he said

"Oh ok "I smiled "u guys are the only ones who ran the truth thanks"

"That's what we do" he smiled and hugged me.

Me and Terry hit it off and I hadn't even noticed Dom walk away.

"What is ur problem dad " I asked my father
