We filed papers to legally adopt Ethan and court is 2 weeks away. Sarah has been nervous all day and I'm starting to worry

"Babe what's wrong uv been out of it all day" I asked as we got lunch

"It's been 2 years" she said still acting weird

"Huh" I asked as we climbed back in black Betty. Ethan was with my mom so they could get to know each other.

"Shane today is 2 years since his conviction"

"Oh u ok" I asked

"Just scared I know he shouldn't know where we live but it's still scary" she said

"He doesn't know where we live and even if he did show there is a restraining order and he lost his rights. Ur safe" I said she smiled and kissed me as we returned to work

I stood as Sarah sat with Ethan and everyone else was there to

"Officer Luca you have filed a petition to adopt one Ethan Walsh is that correct"

"Yes your honor"

"You promise to protect and nurture this child till he is an adult or more "

"Well IV read all your witness statements and spoken to the boys mother I have no reason to deny this claim." I smiled

"What will the boys new name be?" I looked to Sarah as she stood

"He wants Ethan voight Luca ur honor"

"And ur the boys mother?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Where is his biological father?"

"Shane was arrested and charged with assault of a female and was sentenced to to years he also lose his rights in our custody hearing "

"Ok you may take ur son home"

Everyone cheared as I grabbed up my boy

"Love u dad" he typed and I almost cried.

That night after Ethan was asleep we cleaned up the party we had as Sarah wrapped her arms around my torso. She's small so it's difficult.

I laughed and spun to hold my wife. We kissed until we got up stairs we were both exhausted and Ethan starts school next week so we both just passed out. I layed down my side as Sarah curled into me . I loved holding her.

I smiled and nodded "let's go then" Ethan smiled as we loaded into the jeep . When we got to the school we walked him in and met teachers. Ethan is special needs so he has a lot of teachers. One impaticular I didn't like.

"Well hi handsome " she said as Sarah was speaking she put her hand on my arm as I held Ethan's hand and I said "hi" I didn't look at her

"I'm ms cami this must be Ethan" she said not removing her arm . I jerked away and said "yea "
