Warming up to goodbyes
Is something I feard most.
Finding comfort in leaving,
Even looking forward to it.
Planning words to say
When I last see you.
Debating if I should let you know
Or let you get the call. And even if you do one day,
You have to promise,
Not a single tear to drop.
I'm sure you wouldn't cry if I got married.
Succeeded at my job
Or won a prize.
This is the same. The same feeling of relief
I no longer put away.
No longer "one more day".
This was the last.
Last drop,
Last laughter,
My very last of smile.Don't cry if you remember me.
I wouldn't want that.
I wouldn't want to see your eyes red,
I wouldn't want to hear your voice break.
If you remember me,
Just for a slight moment,
You have to promise
You have to smile
You have to go on.Life never ended
It never does
We just get separated
Into different worlds
