𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳

Today I'm 3 days over due and to say that this pregnancy has been hard would be quite an understatement I mean I've been working my ass off to provide for my baby I've managed to get every I needed for my child I know it's only essentials but still I've managed to do it , this pregnancy is quite draining I didn't think pregnancy would be this bad but turns out it is, I wouldn't change it for the world tho

Im currently sat in my apartment living room with nova who's helping me build baby's crib I know we left it a bit late especially seeing as the baby was meant to be born 3 days ago but I've just had a lot going on I had to stop working this week for my maternity leave so that's a bonus but it also means I'm missing out on a bit of money for bean I went to the super market with novs yesterday we got lots of food and more diapers and other baby essentials

We finished building the crib and took it into mine and beans shared room nova helps me place everything then we start putting all beans clothes ,diapers, dummy's and other stuff away when I'm suddenly hit with a strong pain in my stomach I just wince as nova looks at me "are you okay Layls" she asks
"Yeah I'm okay let's just finish this' I say just as I said that I feel a gush of water run down my legs I look down and see a puddle of water on the hard wood flooring
"Novs I think my water just broke" I say while feeling more pain In my stomach
Which might be contractions
"Okay Layls don't panic where's beans car seat and your hospital bag" nova asks "it's in the storage closet in the hall" I say a little panicked

"Okay right put these on " she says putting my sliders next to me I slide them on as she goes to get the stuff I start walking in the hallway I see nova closing the closet door with my hospital bag on her shoulder and beans car seat next to her

"Nova I'm scared" I say
"I know Layls but you can do this we're gonna go to the hospital and your gonna have your little baby okay" she reassures me
"Okay" I say trying to walk to the front door
We get to novas car which is parked in the parking lot outside of my apartment I'm so glad my apartments a ground floor apartment
She starts driving to the hospital which isn't far away from my apartment
As the drive continues it seems like the contractions are getting closer

"Nova they're getting closer together" I say looking at the dash board that says 1:15
"Okay Layls just breathe we're nearly there' she says as the car turns into the hospital car park

We get out of the car and walk in the hospital nova tells them my name , date of birth and what I'm there for they take me to a private hospital room and give me a gown I go change then the nurse comes and checks how far dilated I am she says I'm at 7cm
Close to ten Which is when I'll need to start pushing she also tells me that dr harris is on her way she hooks me up to all the monitors and machines and she leaves I look at nova "I'm scared what if I do this all wrong" I say with tears in my eyes "you won't Layls you can do this and think of it you'll have your baby in the end of this I promise it will be worth it" I nod as I feel another contraction

It's been an hour when doctor Harris arrives checks how far dilated i am she says I'm 8cm so it should be another hour or so she then leaves
Nova phones her parents to tell them they say that they will be here soon

"Novs I feel guilty Rudy should be here" I say crying
I know he should but it's not your fault he's not you had no way of contacting him
She says and I know she's right it just feels like I'm to blame
