Alright, so I may have forgotten about updating. I had finals and I need to pass Spanish very badly. But now it's summer (and today's my birthday) and I passed all of my classes and everything's ok! So I will be updating again as soon as I get the next chapter finished, but here's this one for now, and I swear I won't go missing like this again! There's also been a few people actually reading my other stories, and I'll talk to them in the end note, so if you read Child of a Dark Heart or the Assassin Alice one (idek if that's the real name) then read the end note! Onto the story!

----

It had been a few days, and I haven't seen or heard from Luce. Despite the fact that she's not real, I haven't seen Luce in too long, and I want to see and talk to her. But she keeps insisting that she was real, and she wasn't. Jason was just making me go insane, that was all.

Luce walked into my room finally, but it was two days after I blamed Jason for all of this, but I don't know how many days it's been since I last saw her. I was half asleep, the way I had been for the past few days. No one had talked to me, which I was happy about, because I'm sure I would've said some embarrassing things (Please, embarrassing is my middle name, and there's nearly two full books of me embarrassing myself). Luce sat by the edge of my bed, not saying anything, just staring at my hands. My eyes didn't want to stay open, but I didn't want to take them off of her. She was here, even if it was just a dream. She was here and I could talk to her and we could be friends again. Except this was all a dream. I was going to wake up, and she was going to be upset because I couldn't tell the difference between a fake Luce and the real deal.

"Em. Will you do something for me?" Luce spoke up, making my eyes open fully, and stay open.

"What?" I asked, curious as to what she was about to ask of me. Would I do it? Probably. I'd do anything for Luce.... Even a fake one.

"I need you to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight." She said, looking directly into my eyes.

My eyes widened. That was our code, said correctly. The way the other Luce had said it, was the same way Joker had said it, but this is what the very first Luce (the real one) told me when she visited me. Not 'have you ever' but 'I need you to'.

"Is this......." I couldn't finish my sentence, but I was suddenly awake fully.

"Yes, it is. I promise you that I'm the real Luce, and if this world is fake, I'm stuck here with you." She said, and it felt like a very big weight was lifted off of me.

"I'm sorry for saying you weren't Luce... Now I feel really stupid." I said, rubbing my face quickly.

"Hey, it's alright, I kind of had a hard time believing this too. I understand completely." She said. We sat in silence for a few minutes, before I sighed out and moved to the edge of the bed.

"Well, if this is real, then I have some apologies to make, and we have some butt to kick!" I said, fist pumping the air really quick, then stood up. Only to fall back down.

"Woah! Easy, Em! You've been off of your feet for way to long to be kicking any butt just yet. Let's take it easy, and see if you can even walk to the Cave. Bruce will be happy to see you, because we kind of didn't tell him when we were going." She explained, wrapping her arm around me.

"How long have I been out? How long have you been here?" I asked, as we left the room, which took us a few minutes (don't tell anyone, because it was embarrassing how long it took).

"I escaped the day after I talked to you, but they had figured out I talked to you somehow. They must've done something when I was gone, and gave you that awful dream you had about waking up, and we rescued you about a week ago. You were out for a couple days, but Alfred said you'll be ok, so we weren't all that worried. He kept us from seeing you though." Luce explained as we walked to the elevator for the Cave, because we couldn't have made it down the stairs obviously. That's why she didn't come visit me for five days?
