I'm the staircase of the Agreste Castle, we can see Adrien is entering and has a disappointed face writing all over him. He had spent the day looking for the girl who had rescued him and he just needed to find her, he was practically desperate. His father was walking down the stairs and saw Adrien and know exactly why Adrien looked the way he did.
"Adrien, you need to let go of this girl, she is probably just in your imagination ."
"Father it's not just some girl, it's the girl who saved me from drowning."
"Oh but you won't be in this situation if you had never gone out in the ocean in the fist place."
Adrien was not in the mood to have this conversation with his father. He had formed a fist from all of his bubbled up anger.
"Son you know I care about you-" but before he could finish, Adrien irrupted.
"Oh so now you care about me father?!? Where was this when mother died?!?"
"Do not raise you voice at me young man, and especially DO NOT BRING YOUR MOTHER INTO THIS CONVERSATION!"
"I wish you were the one that died that night." That shocked Gabriel and silence filled the room.
And with that Adrien stormed out of the room and left his father shedding a tear and went outside for a stroll to cool down. He could stand hearing his father act that way when it wasn't like him to. Then it felt like he was hearing Marinette's voice in his head like an eco.
