The little mermaid 🧜‍♀️ || miraculous ladybug Adrienette story

Curiosity 

By now it was after dinner and everyone was hitting the hay...well...except Marinette. She decided she wanted to explore to castle so was running around and making sure no one was following her. While walking around she was still practicing how to walk decent but she was now barefoot and in a nightgown that Ayla had helped her put on. The heels were hurting her feet and she kept thinking how woman on land are able to wear them. Well being clumsy, she tripped over herself and fell on the floor. But when she looked up she saw a glowing door. Obviously that caught her attention. She quickly stood up and ran to the room. She made sure no one saw her before entering, placing one foot in then waiting a couple of seconds and putting the other foot. There was a little flame glowing and she took a second to take in the fire then taking in the room it's self, it was a big room with a skylight and it had look like someone has been collecting stuff too. There was so many artifacts and ocean things.  She started looking around amazed with what she found and it had almost reminded her of her grotto when she was a mermaid and collecting all sorts of human things but the thought of it made her sad, knowing her father destroyed it all that day. Someone had walked in and disturbed those thoughts.

"What are you doing here?" Adrien asked surprises to see her in this room.

Marinette quickly turned around and had a look of horror on her face like she was caught doing something bad.

"Woah hey it's ok! I'm not mad" Adrien said trying to reassure her that everything was fine.

Marinette slowly walked over to him, the height differences starting to show more between them. Her needing to look up at him while he had to look down at her. She had an instance look as if she were searching for answers on Adrien's face. She started examining him, meanwhile Adrien was doing the same, he was searching her like a curious little child. Something about her eyes is what stood out the most to him, he felt like he was getting swept away into a whirlpool, the more the blue eyes made contact with his. Meanwhile Marinette loved his green emerald eyes, to her they shunned so bright, she loved the way they looked like they glow from any lighting.

Adrien was the one to break the eye contact and felt his face heating up and had to look away for a sec. He then walked over to the other side of the room.

"Look."

Marinette walked over to what Adrien wanted to show her and it was a jade mermaid.

"She's my Little Mermaid." Adrien said with a soft smile. Marinette couldn't help but smile at his face and the mermaid figuring.

"Put your hands out together."

Marinette put her hands out and Adrien gently laid the mermaid on the bluenette's palms. Marinette held onto it and was admiring it, tracing her fingers around it with a smile across her face. From where Adrien was standing, he noticed she was standing underneath the moonlight from the skylight illuminating her perfectly. He couldn't help but think she looked perfect in that moment.

They continued to look around the room, and Adrian explaining every single treasure he had found from the water. Learn it like seeing Adrian smile just by talking about his interests. They were even making each other laugh just doing silly little things together.

" will you join me tomorrow? I'm going to be going to the Village for the day and was wondering if you would like to come?"

All Marinette felt was so much joy. She quickly nodded yes, and Adrian could tell she really wanted to and laughed a little. He stood up and took her hand now escorting her to her room.

"Good night, I can't wait for tomorrow." Adrien said with a small smile. Mari looked at him and quickly gave a little kiss on the cheek. He looked dumbfounded, then he placed his hand on the cheek she had kissed and she felt embarrassed until her chin was being lifted and she felt a pair of lips press against the corner of her mouth. She quickly hugged Adrien and he hugged her back tightly. They had slowly let go of each other and he took the opportunity to take her hand and kiss it just like at dinner.

"Sweet dreams princess"

And with that he went back to his bedroom, Marinette ran to her bed and flopped on it, she was a dreamy face on, completely In love, she quickly got in her covers and hugged one of the pillows tight and fell fast asleep with a smile.
