Chapter 22

In Hastinapur

Everything was going as usual. Pandavas and Kauravas were practicing. The Pandavas was on one side and the Kauravas on the other. Bheem tried to pick a fight with Duryodhan, but the latter ignored him.

B- What happened Duryodhan? Come and fight me. Are you scared? he laughed.

Y- Bheem! stop that.

Duryodhan ignored them. He was getting angry but then remembered what Priya told him. 

B- Jyesth, Duryodhan is a coward.

A- Bratha Bheem is right. He is scared. He taunted. Bheem, Nakul agreed with him. Yudhister and Sahadev just kept quiet.

D- I am not scared nor am I a coward. Don't u know when someone is not answering back means they are ignoring you.

N- That is because you are scared that we will defeat you. Right Bratha Arjun?

A- Yes.

D- Don't think so highly of yourselves. You are not important to me nor to my brothers. Speaking of defeating, you were defeated by Paro Didi. You were defeated by a woman. 

Arjun couldn't say anything. Nakul and Bheem just gritted their teeth, because what he said is true. 

Y- Stop fighting. Let's go.

The Pandavas went away. All this was seen by Shakuni who felt something amiss. He found Duryodhan's behavior weird. He thought a fight will happen.

I have to do something. Shakuni thought. He limped away.

Dushasan- Jyesht, why did u let them go like that. How dare they call u coward. He said angrily.

D- Don't worry. Remember what Didi told us. We should ignore them. If we fought with them, they would tell it to the elders. The elders will punish us. It's better to ignore them. 

Dushasan nod at that. 

D- I want all of you to come to my chamber. I have to tell you all something important. He said to the Kauravas.

Everyone went to Duryodhan's chamber once they finished their practice.

In Duryodhan chamber

Duryodhan, Karn and Ashwathama waited for the Kauravas to settle. Once all of them settled, Duryodhan spoke.

D- From now on, everyone needs to stop listening to Mamashree. If he tells anything, tell it to me.

V- But why Jyesht?

Du- Yes. What happened?

Duryodhan then told them what he heard from Mamashree. The Kauravas was shocked to hear their Mamashree was using them as a pawn for his revenge. Dushasan was affected by it. He always felt that Mamashree loves him and his brothers. But now, he doesn't know what to do.

V- How dare he do that to us? Just for revenge he used us. I feel like killing at this moment.

D- Calm down Vikarna. I told you this because I don't want him to manipulate us anymore. Think what Paro Didi told us. We should try to avoid Mamashree. But make sure that he doesn't feel that we know his truth.

Kauravas- YES JYESHT. 

Yuyutsu- I miss Didi so much. He spoke.

(The Kauravas considers him as brother too. Yuyutsu is also a Kauravas. He will not be spy for the Pandavas) 

D- I know. Even I miss her. 

Ash- Ok all of you. No need to be upset. 

K- Yes. Just make Paro proud by your actions. If she was here, she would be proud what you did today. You ignored the taunts of Pandavas. I'm sure Paro would be happy.
