Chapter 34

In Hastinapur

The news of Duryodhan and Subhadra marriage reached Hastinapur. Maharani Gandhari was really happy and was waiting to meet her new daughter-in-law. Dhritarashtra was happy that Duryodhan married Subhadra.  Now having relation with Dwaraka, they became powerful. He wished to see his dear son soon. Everyone except the Pandava supporters were happy about the marriage.

Vidur didn't like that Subhadra married Duryodhan. He thought Arjun will, since he saw Arjun attracted towards the Dwaraka princess.  He is happy that Dwaraka is now their ally. Now other kingdoms will think many times before attacking Hastinapur. 

Similar were the thoughts of all other Royals. Soon they heard the trumpet. A messenger announced the arrival of the newly wedded couple. The people showered flowers happily. Gandhari stood at the entrance with thali. Duryodhan stepped down from the chariot and helped Subhadra to get down. The Pandavas behind them looking upset. Gandhari did their Aarthi and welcomed Subhadra.

G- Putri Subhadra, I am so happy to know that you are my daughter-in-law.  I welcome you to your new family. 

S- Thank you Mata. 

Duryodhan and Subhadra took blessing from all the elders. Subhadra entered by pushing the pot filled with rice (I am not sure what to call it) and then she stepped on the Kumkum water and went inside. The Royals welcomed her happily.  The Kauravas teased Duryodhan. Pandavas just scowled. 

At night.

It's the first night of the couple. The maids were getting Subhadra ready while teasing her. Gandhari and Kunti with Priyamvada was also there. Subhadra kept on blushing hearing the teasing. She was yet nervous. 

G- Putri, we will go now. Putra Suyodhana will come soon. 

Saying she and everyone went out giggling. On the other hand, Duryodhan was being teased all his brothers. Karna and Ashwathama were not there as they had some things to do but they did congratulate and teased him before going.

Dusshasan- Jyesht, are you ready for your first night.

One of the Kauravas- Of course he is bratha Dusshasan. He is waiting to go to Bhabhi.

D- Shut up all of you. He blushed.

Vikarna- All of you stop. Let Jyesht go. Bhabhi might be waiting for him. He teased.

D- Vikarna, you too. He whined.

Everyone laughed at his expression.  Duryodhan then left to his chamber. No, now the chamber is not only his, but his wife also owns the chamber. 

He entered the chamber and saw Subhadra sitting on the bed looking like an apsara. He closed the door and went near her. Subhadra was feeling really nervous. She tried to calm down. She saw Duryodhan walking towards her. Duryodhan sat near her. Subhadra blushed and looked down.

D- Bhadre, don't feel nervous.  I will not do anything against your wish. Let's take everything slowly.

B- But Arya, I'm sure you want me to fulfill your umm,.. needs. She said looking at him shyly.

D- Not at all. We can once you are ready. I will wait till then. 

Subhadra felt blessed to have such an understanding husband. She hugged him.

S- Thank you Arya. 

D- You are welcome. He hugged her back. 

They slept hugging each other. 

In Malwa,

Priya was waiting for Prithvi. She can't believe she is married. She blushed thinking about the teasing from everyone.  She went to the balcony and looked at the moon. She felt happy to know that she has someone to call her own.  Prithvi entered his room but didn't see Priya. He looked around and saw Priya standing in the balcony. He smiled and went near her.
