Summer Friends
"Fleur! I found your pink ball!" a loud shout from a distance made me smile.
"Omg! Thank you so much Den!" He smiled at me proudly. He wiped it first before giving it to me.
"Basic! Too handsome not to find a ball" he said as he flexed his arms like it had a big muscle.
I rolled my eyes because he's boastful. I just ran away and went inside my grandma's house. She immediately hugged me and kissed my cheeks.
"Oh, where did you find your ball?" she asked as she made me sit on the couch.
"I wasn't the one who found it! It was Blaze, lola! I thought it would be gone forever..." I said smiling. She laughed as she combed my hair.
"Sige na, let's eat na baby"
When we were about to go to the kitchen, we heard a knock from the door. Sakto naman 'yon, kung kailan kakain kami tsaka dumating. Hinayaan ko na si lola magbukas at nagdiretso na sa kitchen.
"Lola, it was so easy to find her ball! It was just behind the bush. I didn't even sweat a little, but I fought with the ants!"
I rolled my eyes when I heard Blaze's boastful voice. Sino namang matino ang makikipaglaban sa mga ants.
"Fleur!" He shouted as he ran towards my direction. "Our parents went out for business, so we came here!" he said.
"They went to Japan this time"
I was shocked when he was not alone! He's with Zach. Agad namang natuwa si lola dahil marami kaming bata sa bahay niya.
"Lola, dapat sasabay na ako kay Fleur pero naalala ko si Zach kaya tinawag ko muna siya bago kami pumunta sayo!"
Tuwing summer, dito ako kay lola umuuwi at babalik nalang sa mansion ni dad bago magpasukan. I want to stay here forever, it was so peaceful! Tapos may friends pa ako rito na lagi kong nakakasama kapag magplay ako.
I met Blaze and Zach when I was alone playing at the park. They saved me from the chicken bago ako puntahan and asked me if I'm okay. It was really funny because I thought they weren't afraid, but in the end, tatlo na kaming tumatakbo at sumisigaw. Mas lalong nagalit yung chicken kasi binato nila kaya 'yon, hinabol kami. Sinundan nila ako hanggang sa bahay ni lola kaya simula non, naging friends na kami. Lagi na nila akong inaaya magplay.
I was just 5 that time, they were 6. I wasn't really alone that time, my nanny left to buy me ice cream. Medyo natagalan siya sa pagbili kaya hindi niya napansin na umuwi na ako. According to lola, nagresign na raw yung nanny ko na 'yon because of guilt. Hindi ko na rin masyado maalala nangyari non kasi 5 years old palang ako.
"Sige, sige, kumain na tayong apat" lola said and gave the three of us a small amount of rice.
Habang kumakain, hindi nauubusan ng sasabihin si Blaze. Palagi siyang may kwento tungkol sa kung saan-saan.
"Oo nga po pala lola, birthday na ni Fleur sa isang araw! Ano po handa niya?" Blaze asked lola while chewing his food.
"I guess I'll just cook carbonara and fried chicken. I'll also make mango shake para favorite niyong tatlo. You both should go here, okay?" lola answered, she was happy.
"You're turning 11, Fleur?" Zach asked.
"Yes! I really want to go to a carnival pero my parents won't let me..." I answered.
