While the whole group was gone, Brandy was all by herself, smirking. When Sage mentioned they came from Southern Florida, she knew this was her chance to go home. Unfortunately, she missed her opportunity to ask where the boat was. "No matter," she thought, "I'll find it myself."
While Brandy continued along the shore for this boat, Whiskers, Ed, Lola, and the foxes continued through the jungle searching for any sign of Meryl and Sheryl, completely unaware of Brandy's absence. As Whiskers kept moving forwards, Lola came up next to him. "Whiskers are you sure that they can help us?" she asked. "I mean, they could but you know what they're always like."
"It's the only option, Lola." responded Whiskers.
"Unless if you would rather ask for help from someone whom you don't trust?" Ed added.
"Were you referring to me?" a French voice spoke. Everyone looked around trying to find where that voice came from. "SHOW YOURSELF!" Sage called out.
"I'm up here," the voice came from the right side of the tall trees. Up in the tree's branches appeared a small gecko with yellow eyes, black stripes, red lips, and small goatee. It was Gasper. "Long time no see, madam and masseurs, and I see you brought a large group to help us out."
Meanwhile back at the shore, Brandy was still searching for whatever the foxes arrived in. "C'mon, where is it?" she said in a frustrating tone. "It's gotta be around here somewhere. There's no way that those foxes all the way from Florida to the Amazon." Then Brandy spotted something shiny in the distance. It gleamed like a diamond.
Brandy moved a little closer and it was a familiar object. It was large, wooden, and half-oval shaped with an opening in the top. It also had a pole and sail in the middle. "Is-Is it...could it be?" Brandy thought. She ran to the object and even looked inside the opening. "Yes! I found it! I found the boat!" She squealed with joy, jumping up and down like a little girl. "I can't believe it! After two years, I'm finally going home! I should leave pack right now and leave!"
Brandy dashed through the sand at supersonic speed, back for the treehouse, trying to pack as much as she could.
Back in the jungle, nearly everyone was surprised by Gasper's arrival. Lola was just about to eat Gasper and she and her friends know what he's like. But Gasper said, "Relax. I'm not here to annoy nor fight. I assure you."
"Then what are you doing here?" Whiskers asked.
"All of you know already what is going on in this beautiful Rainforest, those terrible humans tearing it apart, not showing an ounce of Symphany for us. My ape friends tried to scare them off but...let's just say it they were not better than the construction workers."
"We care not about those apes you call friends." Ed said. "Nor do we care about your leadership."
"Exactly," Whiskers agreed. "We've been doing just fine without you."
"You think you're fine now, THINK AGAIN BUNNY!" Gasper said.
He pulled a long vine down and down leaves fell down with a crash, creating a leave pile, revealing pieces of tree bark, but worse of all pieces of bones and skulls. Everyone was dumbfounded, some fainted, at the sight of bones.
"Yikes!" Did you see that, Brandy? Whiskers asked. "That was-, Brandy? Brandy!?" Whiskers looked around the pack and no sign of her. "Guys! Where's Brandy?!" Everyone muttered at each as they were admitting they never noticed either. Then Whiskers looked at Ruby and Sage, focused on the discussion, and got jumped in their faces, "GUYS! GUYS! You gotta me find Brandy!"
Sage just grabbed Whiskers by the ears and tossed him away, trying to listen. "Excuse me, gecko." Sage interrupted. He approached. Ruby who noticed Whiskers, laying on the ground, went to him and helped him up. "We can worry about your friend later, Whiskers," She assured him. "We have other problem we have to deal with."
But Whiskers was really nervous. he and Brandy have gotten in danger many times, whether accidental or intentional but the stakes were high this time. What if Brandy was in trouble or going to do something stupid? She was his friend.
"Listen to me, I understand but I can't stop thinking about her. She's my best friend. I'm begging you." Whiskers began to sob uncontrollably, knowing what happen if they didn't act. "I'll never live with myself."
Ruby stared at him with pity. Looking at the shore and back at the others she let out a sigh and replied, "All right, but we have to hurry." Whiskers released a smile and gave a hug on the legs. "Okay, just give a moment," Ruby said, trying to shake Whiskers off her legs. "I have to inform Sage really quick.
Back at the boat, Brandy was exhausted from packing too fast and running back the beach. After arriving back at the boat, she tossed her suitcase in the stern and pushed the boat back into the ocean, before hopping in. But her troubles were not over yet, the rope, which the sail was tied down in a really tight knot. Brandy tried to undo the knot to no avail. "It's too tight. Were they in the Navy?" she thought.
Then Brandy remembered something, she opened her case and dug through it. It was her Swiss army knife. "It's so obvious. I don't why I forgot about it despite all the episodes we did." She opened the blade and slicing at the rope when suddenly, a voice called out, "BRANDY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
She looked back at the shore, it was Whiskers, along with Ruby. Ruby, shocked what was happening, whispered to Whiskers, "Keep her talking, rabbit. I'm getting backup."
"Backup?" Whiskers was confused. "But you just have to put your back up for backup. Cause back up means-"
"Help. You moron," Ruby continued. "I'm getting help. Now keep her talking."
Ruby ran back into the jungle while Whiskers stared face-to-face with Brandy who was still in the boat.
"You're leaving, Brandy? Whiskers asked. "This was your plan, all along."
Brandy hesitated for a moment before answering, "Yes Whiskers, I had never forgotten about wanting to leave the island. And let's face it, the Amazon Rainforest is declining. No animals can be saved. Not even Ed, Lola, or you. You could come with me though, leave everything behind, you could start a new life, be spoiled with everything, and be-"
"Brandy, I'm gonna stop you right there," Whiskers interrupted. "Has it ever occurred to you that after two years maybe your owners, or parents, or whatever they are, have forgotten about you? Maybe you could be replaced?"
"Excuse me?"
"Or maybe, I may not know anything about your family or home. But the point is I'm pretty sure you shouldn't expect a 'WELCOME HOME' party when you arrive back to Florida."
But Brandy was adamant. "Well regardless, I've never enjoyed the Amazon! I'm going home and that's that!"
"Brandy-"
Before Whiskers could say anything else. There came thudding and screaming. They looked back and it was the fox pack, followed by Ruby and Sage. "There they are!" Ruby screamed. "She's stealing the boat!"
The foxes raised their spears ready to throw them. Whiskers ran back at them trying to get them to lower them. But Ruby tackled him to the ground, while Sage and the others opened fire. Brandy sliced through the rope as hard and fast as she could. The rope came loose, and the boat moved forward away from the whole pack and Whiskers. Tears slid down Whiskers's eyes as he saw Brandy disappear into the sunset.
