After All This Time

I was sitting at home for days. my mom and dad were still working so I was home alone most of the time.

My girlfriend, Taylor, has been busy with her dad for the first week of summer. although on better news, she's supposed to be coming home today. I had enjoyed spending time with my friends but I just wanted to see her. She had green eyes and beautiful soft skin. her hair was a new color almost every 2 weeks. Last time I saw her it was blonde. I try to tell her how unhealthy it is but she finds it really fun, and I love seeing her happy. I opened my phone and decided to text her out of boredom.

11:26 AM you - hey love, will you be home soon? I miss you so much :(

I waited for what felt like hours for a reply. in the time it took her to answer I was able to eat lunch and do some shopping online.

1:32 PM my love <3 - hey darling, look outside

I checked my phone and blushed at the message. she was getting out of her dads car. I ran downstairs and opened the door for her, she ran up to me with a bag around her shoulder and embraced me in a huge hug. she was wearing green cargo pants and a tan tank-top, making all of her beautiful features look even prettier -- if that was even possible. her dad watched from the car and drove off shortly after she entered my house.

"how's my girl doing?" she asked, kissing my cheek.

"I'm doing a lot better now that you're here with me." I smiled, pulling her up to my room. I sat down on my bed with her next to me. I watched her shift around in my bed making herself comfortable.

"Did you dad know about this before hand?" I leaned my head in my hands feeling like I was on cloud 9 with her next to me.

"Of course he did, he's the one that came up with the idea." She looked like somebody flipped a switch in her brain as she was immediately distracted "I got something for you!"

I gave her a 'you shouldn't have' look before crossing my legs patiently waiting for her.

she dug around in her bag, the mid afternoon sun reflecting off of her skin making it look golden. although that could also just be my brain making her look even more beautiful in person. I could stare at her for hours and not ever get bored. She always had something new to talk about every day.

"I found it" she pulled out a very light box and presented it like a wedding ring. it was probably medium sized and fit neatly in my lap. the box was a light mauve color -- which also happened to be my favorite color -- with lilac hearts decorated on the front.

"can I open it now?"

"if you want to" she replied, adjusting herself to sit in front of me. I nodded and gently lifted the flaps of the box, revealing light pink tissue paper. my heart was melting. she loved giving me gifts but I havent even looked at everything yet and I already know that this one is my favorite of them all. I looked at her with loving eyes and she nodded at the box to signal me to keep opening it.

I gently pulled the tissue paper away revealing all the goodies she had packed neatly inside of the box. "aw baby you didn't have to do all this for me"

"well I'll gladly do this kind of stuff for my girl, you're my everything and I haven't been showing you that enough."

I almost started crying right then and there.

I don't deserve her at all.

I smiled while my stomach was basically doing backflips. she had 3 boxes of my favorite candy and a stuffed raccoon. I love raccoons, they remind me of me in all honesty. I love to eat and I will eat anything so the resemblance is uncanny. I also love rocket from guardians of the galaxy.

"I have one more thing for you."

I rolled my eyes and blew her a kiss, watching as she reached into her pocket. she handed me a note and I read every word, taking it all in.

sorry I've been away all week. I've missed you so so much and theres nobody I'd rather spend my summer with. make sure that beautiful smile always stays on your face. even when I'm not with you physically I'll always be in your heart (I know that's super cliche but it's the truth)

"babe this is so sweet!" I pulled her into a gentle kiss, her hands tracing circles on my back.

"I meant to mail that to you but I forgot stamps" she chuckled, moving to sit next to me.

"I love all of this so much. you're the sweetest person ever" my heart skipped a beat when she sat herself on top of my legs, pulling me into another kiss.

she pulled away, the two of us slightly out of breath. "im so sorry that I wasn't here this week"

"its alright I promise" I was still smiling. it hasn't left my face the entire time she was here. if anything it only grew bigger making me look like a dork. 

"do you want me to make it up to you? im all yours for however long you want me here"

I nodded almost giving myself whiplash. her hands trailed up and down my body as she was still sitting on my legs. 

I held my hands just below her jaw and she planted multiple concupiscent kisses all over my lips and neck.

this truly does make up for the week she's been gone. I look forward to what other things she has for me.

y'all. I need a relationship like this so bad.
