Stella's POV
I was woken up by a hard whack to the head with a pillow.
"What the hell?" I whined. I was covered in Louis' soft blanket and as my eyes adjusted I realized I was still in the back room of the bus. Across from me, Leo was picking up some pillows and blankets.
"I'll hit you again if you don't get up." He threatened.
"What are you doing?" I complained. He dropped all but one pillow and used it to whack me in the head again.
"Ow, okay, I'm up." I complained, sitting up. When I moved I heard something crunch.
"Oh, what the hell?" I asked, when I got up and found pretzels crushed up around where I was laying.
"I don't know how that happened." Leo said. "We're in St. Augustine, at the hotel. We have to get off so the bus can be cleaned."
"Did you put this blanket on me?" I asked, picking up Louis' blanket. God it was soft. I had never in my life felt a blanket so soft.
"Nah, it was the blanket fairy." Leo shrugged.
"Oh, okay." I replied. He left the back room with all his things and I followed lazily out to the hotel. After checking in I took a shower and then called Peter.
"Hey." He sounded tired. It was around 10 pm already, but he told me to call him when I got the hotel.
"Hey, did I wake you?" I asked.
"Nah." He yawned. "I've been waiting for you to call."
"Oh yeah, we just got to the hotel. Well I took a shower first because I felt gross but yeah. I'm here. Safe and sound. You can go to sleep now." I told him.
"How was the bus ride?" He wondered.
"I think Leo dumped pretzels on me when I was sleeping. And guess what!"
"What?"
"I tried pickles."
"You haven't tried pickles before? I thought you didn't like them."
"No, I just always gave my pickles to Ava because she likes them."
"I like pickles too and you never gave them to me." He pouted.
"What, so Ava could just steal them from you too? I saved a step. Sue me." I teased.
"That's true. Girl's a freak about her pickles."
"I truly don't know how we ended up with such a freaky friend." I replied.
"I know. The two most normal, average people on Earth and then that weirdo."
"Good thing she had us to punch bullies for her or I don't know how she would've survived high school." I replied. Peter laughed.
"Do you ever think about what life would be like if we never met in social skills? Do you think we would've still been friends?" Peter wondered.
"I don't know, honestly. But I do think it's the best miracle of our lives that Ava picked us. I think Flash would've buried me in the sandbox if she hadn't."
"But what about... what about the hot girl list? I mean, Ava wouldn't have gone to Midtown if it weren't for us and then she never would've been friends with Olivia and then Olivia never would've leaked the hot girl list and probably wouldn't have terrorized you... maybe things would've been better." Peter explained.
"I mean, Ava lived in the same building as me, I'm sure we would've met one way or another and she would've wormed her way into my life that way." I shrugged.
