Stella's POV
"Promise me if he hypnotizes me you'll make sure I don't do anything stupid?" I asked Flash as we ran from his office toward the superhero exhibit.
"I got your back." Flash responded.
"Hey Flash, when this is all over will you come to my universe and teach my Flash how to act like you?" Little Spider-Man asked.
"Hey, if it isn't my favorite human!" I heard, skidding to a halt in the super hero exhibit room. Eros smiled that huge warm smile of his and held his arms out for a hug. And who was I to deny that to him? I already felt better just seeing him.
"How can I help you sweetheart?" Eros asked.
"Does this guy work for you or something?" Flash asked me. Flash had a point. I didn't know why Eros chose me out of all people. I wasn't particularly special or extraordinary. Besides, Eros was the god of love and sex and could hypnotize anyone into loving him, so why me?
"My friends got sucked into a portal and we need them back. And also this guy needs to go back to his own universe too." I told Eros, pointing to Little Spider-Man. He stared blankly at me.
"Does he look like a miracle worker?!" Pip yelled.
"Yeah." Flash said.
"Kind of." I replied.
"Uh huh." Little Spider-Man nodded.
"Well he's not!" Pip yelled. "Eros is the god of love and sex. Rescuing people isn't in his job description!"
"But he..." I started, thinking about the times Eros did rescue us, no love and no sex involved.
"But he nothing! Good day!" Pip decided.
"No wait!" I exclaimed. "I love Peter and I love Ava and I need them back!"
"Oh! Why didn't you say so?" Eros smiled. Then he looked at Little Spider-Man. "What about you then?"
"I uh... love my own universe?"
"Eh! Wrong answer kid!" Pip yelled.
"I love my friends?" Little Spider-Man asked.
"Do they love you?" Eros wondered.
"No, they don't know who I am." He replied.
"Thaaaat's not creepy at all." Pip commented.
"My apologies, friend, I only deal with matters of love." Eros said.
"Since when?" I asked.
"Since always!" Pip yelled.
"Have you ever considered not being so angry?" I asked the little gremlin.
"Eros only helps in matters of love and slash or sex. That's the rule, that's how it works."
"But you saved me from that burning building one time." I pointed out.
"Yes, at the request of someone who loves you." Eros agreed. I don't know how Peter had contact with Eros, but he must've been the one that requested I get saved.
"What about when Venom took over my body?" I countered.
"Well, if you recall you called because Venom took over your friend's body. You love him, so I helped." Eros explained. I fake gagged.
"He is not my friend and I do not love him." I explained.
"Well... I hate to be the responsible one here but shouldn't you maybe just stop arguing and start working toward getting your friends back? We can worry about me later." Little Spider-Man said. I wanted to argue, because we should be taking care of Little Spider-Man too, but we could figure it out later like he said. Right now Peter and Ava needed me... I would just try one more thing.
