Everything was perfect. Sky's hoofbeats below me made a perfect rhythm. Every log she jumped made us fly. The forest was alive with noise. Birds were chirping and the small creatures rustled the leaves.

We came out into a field. We kept moving together, making rhythmic motions together. We were one.

Skydancer was at a full-blown gallop as she excitedly approached the cliff. It looked over the whole area. The mountains stuck out in the crisp Friday morning.

The cliff was our spot. Together, we came out almost every morning. We finally reached the cliff, a stream running passed it. I dismounted allowing my horse to drink from the fresh, pure mountain stream. I got back over to the cliff, Sky directly at my heels, and together we watched the friday morning sun rise over the mountain covered horrizon.

When we got back, I untacked, groomed, fed, and turned out Sky. I went into the house to shower, the dirt, sweat, and grime falling off and down the drain. I brushed my long, brown hair and ate some breakfast. I went back up to my room and grabbed my school books. On my way out, I stopped, staring at all of the pictures and ribbons with Sky and me. I smiled at the spot on pictures of us competing, her wavy hair flowing nicely. I probably would never have moved if it weren't for the car horn outside. I could've stare at them forever.

"HOPE! C'mon, your going to make us late...again." My sister Lucy scolded, screaming from the truck below.

"Coming!" I yelled back to her, rushing down the stairs and out to the truck, sitting next to my sisters.

Time for school. It would be a long, uneventful day ahead.
