Recap:
"Skydancer!" I cried, before everything went black.

The next thing I knew was that I was in an ambulance. I kept slipping in and out of consciousness. My vision was blurry and my left leg was in excruciating pain.

I don't quite remember what had happened. I heard a few words being passed back and forth between the people near me.

"Leg... Broken.... Severe.... Amp-" Then everything went black.

When I awoke again, I was in a hospital bed. I had a headache. When my vision became clear, I saw that I was covered in tubes and IV's. The lower half of my body felt wierd. I pulled back my covers, and gasped.

I closed my eyes, and opened them again. Nothing changed. I slowly touched my leg, where my lower leg was supposed to be. Where it was supposed to be! My entire lower left leg was gone.

My eyes welled up with tears. The hot tears began to run down my cheeks. I hears a slight knock on the door, and then it opened.

"Hello Hope" My doctor began. "You have been sleeping for quite a while" He made a soar smile.

"What happened?" My voice was hoarse.

"I'm afraid your leg injury was too severe. We had too amputate it. There was nothing else we could do"

My face was hot with tears. There was a large scar on my leg. I looked back up at my doctor.

"What happened to my leg?" I jogged my memory for anything. Nothing.

"You fell off your horse, in the storm." He said. Then it all hit me. The storm. The fall. Skydancer.

"Skydancer!" I began to sob. My mom entered the room with a tray of hot soup.

"How are you honey?" I ignored her question I needed to know where my horse was.

"Where is Skysancer?"

She looked at the floor, then my leg, and then into my eyes. Straight into my eyes. She said three spine tingling words.

"I don't know."
