My sisters walked into the room the next afternoon. Lucy put her phone into her pocket. She looked at me and weakly smiled. Isabelle did the same.
"The vet called," Isabelle began.
"What did he say, Iz?" I said
" Ok, ok... He said that Sky has a clean break on one of her legs, but it should heal and she should be fine in a couple of months."
A wave of relief hit me, but then a wave of grief and disappointment slapped me in the face. Everything that happened to me, Sky and my family was MY fault.
"This is all my fault. None if this would have happened if I never went on that ride." Tears escaped again. There was no use in hiding them.
"Honey, don't blame yourself. You didn't kn_" I interrupted my mom.
"Exactly, I should have checked the weather. This could have been prevented!"
"It was no body's fault, Hope. It will be ok." She paused. All that was heard in the room was breathing. Then she continued," I actually have a surprise that I think will make you feel better."
She flashed a smile at my sisters, then back at me. I was totally confused until the door opened. In came a large white dog on an orange lead. She was wearing a orange harness. I just thought it was another one of those hospital therapy dogs. I was wrong.
"Hope, meet Faith. She's yours." My mom told me with a smile. I looked at the white pup sitting patiently with a goofy grin. I smiled back at the dog.
Her golden eyes stared back at me. I've seen a creature like this before. She wasn't just an ordinary dog. She's a wolf. And now she's my wolf.
"She was orphaned as a cub, found along the road. The administration took her in, domesticatedand trained her for about a year. She trained to assist young amputees." My mom continued. She smiled at Faith sitting patiently on the floor of the hospital.
All if a sudden, I felt dizzy. The word amputee made me feel like I was a beaten down cripple, who never gets to do anything but lay around. I began to cry.

Next chapter I will put up a picture of Faith. This was sort of a filler chapter, but Faith will be important to the story, so this was necessary.
