I knew my plan. It was going to knock that smirk right after Ceci's face. But, I needed to prepare.
I got myself ready for school, figuring I would work with Faith when I got home.
Step one of my plan, was to raise Ceci's ego. Let her bully me and tear me down. It will only make her reaction way better in the end.
This part was the easiest, because all I had to do was show my face. The bullies take it from there.
Ceci was destined to take my crutches today, so I stayed clear of any stairs or ledges. And I was right.
Every time someone put me down, I made it look like it destroyed me, even though it didn't because I was to busy thinking about the reactions later.
I decided my plan was to commence on Friday, the last day of school. That meant I had five days to prepare Faith and my plan.
Once the school day was finished, I went home and automatically started working with Faith. Isabelle and Lucy gave me a hand with teaching Faith some new tricks. With the help of my mom, over the week we taught Faith how to follow the car to and from school.
She enjoyed the three mile run through the woods as she followed the car along the road. She looked amazing, and free. She loved it, so therefore, I loved it.
One part of my plan was confession. I had told my whole family what was going on and what I was planning. They all agreed to lend a helping hand.
I couldn't wait till Friday to make Ceci look like a fool. But, I had to or I would ruin the whole thing.
This was going to be great!
____________________I opened my eyes to the sun beating down through the window. It felt warm and wonderful. Then I realized.
Today was the day.
I shot up out of bed, kicking Faith in the head.
"Sorry girl. C'mon, today is Friday. It's the last day of 8th grade!" Faith realized what I was saying. She jumped off the bed and grabbed my crutches, a neat little trick I taught her.
To show she new her part of the plan, he pushed each one into a closed position for easy travel and carrying. Then she opened them back up and locked them so they wouldn't close on me.
I looked over to the wall to see Hazel's drawing. I framed the artwork, as a reminder.
I took a shower and got dressed, putting my hair into two loose braids. I brushed Faith's white coat and slipped her newly clean harness on and bundled up her lead.
"You got this girl." I petted her and planted a kiss on her white forehead. She happily barked a reply and licked my face. "Go." I ordered her, as she turned and headed down the drive.
My sisters and I jumped into the truck. My mom climbed in sitting in the front seat next to me.
"You ready?" She smiled.
"Yes." I felt determined. The truck moved down the drive and out onto the road. We caught up with the trotting Faith. Once she saw us, she went into a fu out sprint, running right alongside us. The thrill in her eyes made me smile.
I turned to my mom. "Faith is definently ready" I began to giggle, with my sisters joining in.
Once we pulled into the school's drive, I got myself out of the front seat. I grabbed my crutches and looked out to the woods behind the school. I saw a flash of gold and white. Faith.
My sisters and I went into the school. Our heads were high, and we made a perfect beeline to our lockers. According to alphabetical order, of course they were right next to each other.
