"Looks like the rain stopped, I'll see at the prom?" His voice snapped her back to reality. Her cheeks were flushed and she was lost in her own thoughts. He stood up and gathered his things, waving at her before leaving as if nothing happened... She never felt so embarrassed yet so special at the same time... It took her a few moments to take breath and gather her thoughts, then, she stood up and went inside her apartment...
As the sun shone brightly above, four girls laughed happily as they strolled around town. Hazel wore a boyish outfit as usual, Siami kept wearing wearing a f*cking hoodie even though it was f*cking warm, Blanche wore a cute outfit while Alleya wore her usual aesthetic style. "Alright, Where do we go next~?" Blanche looked around, Alleya was looking for a near boutique.. "Alleya, do you have anything in mind?" Blanche smiled at her, "Well, I was thinking of buying a dress for prom?" "Already?" "Well, it's better than to forget about the real reason why we're shopping.." "She has a reason."
The four ladies made their way to the shop. It was well decorated, the walls were painted white with some angles colored as peach and baby blue. Various dresses and gorgeous suits were displayed on every sides and corners. The inside was rather big. Their eyes shined with interest as their gaze travelled across the place. A lady dressed in white gown with a black apron, she looked more like a maid. She spoke in a soft tone with a sweet smile on her face, "Good Morning, ladies. Welcome to the Denapien Boutique. What can I help you with, today?" It was a rather casual yet comforting voice, Hazel spoke first. "Where can we find dresses for prom? And maybe suits also?"
"Oh! Please follow me.~" The lady said...
They arrived in a decently designed spot, various fitting rooms and innumerable dresses and tuxedo jackets were placed. "Please, call me if you have anymore questions!" "We will, thank you." "No problem~"
Their attention were all over the place, they tried on dresses and other clothing. As the three girls were busy, Alleya was heading to the counter. "Alleya? Where are you going?" Blanche asked as she turns her head to face her friend. "Oh, I'm going to the counter..." "I'll go with you!"
The two girls went to the counter. As they arrived, Alleya spoke to the lady at the counter as Blanche looked around...
"Alright, Miss.." The lady said as she took the card Alleya placed on the flat surface of the counter. The lady scanned the card, then she lifted her gaze. "Miss, are you perhaps Mr. Fred Francis's lover?" "P-pardon?" The lady noticed Alleya's confused expression, "Oh, I only wondered why someone like Mr. Francis would ask a lady to deliver his gloves to him. He often sends one of his friends." The lady smiled as she took out a black box with a golden carnation on the top of the dark box. Alleya accepted the black box as her two other friends finally walked towards them...
After buying their dresses in the boutique. Alleya and her three friends bought Boba Teas as a treat for themselves... "I wanna go home already..." Hazel muttered before she took another sip on her drink. "Same." The three said.
"By the way, how did you receive Fred's card?" Siam asked curiously... "Well, yesterday... We walked home together, we kind just-" "Wait. You two walked together?! To your apartment?! Don't tell me you two shared an umbrella!" Hazel exclaimed. "Woah, calm down..." Siami muttered as she patted Hazel's back. "I can't calm down!" Hazel seems... frustrated? "Why are you angry? Just a day ago you were like an idiot planning on how to make these two into a couple." Blanche said with a frown. "Well, it's not very decent if he actually got inside her apartment-" "He didn't." Alleya cut Hazel off. "Oh... I guess that's a green flag?" "Seriously, there's no point in counting his green and red flags." Blanche glared at Hazel and Siami. "But Sia and I have seen wayy too many red flags when it comes to him!" Hazel replied while Siami nodded in return. These two are idiots when they're together but turns emo when one of them is not present. "You two are complete idiots."
As Blanche and Hazel argued, Siami suddenly got a call.... "Hey, uh, guys. I gotta go, something came up." She stated but before she could walk away, Hazel grabbed her arm, "What's up?" Hazel seems worried... "She's missing." Alleya's ears perked up, "Missing? Who's missing?" Alleya spoke softly...
Siami took a few minutes to think about what to say next. "Well... You guys know Elaine, right?" The three girls nodded, waiting for Siami's next words. "Jared just called me, he said she has gone missing." Hearing this, Hazel asked, "How could he possibly be sure about that..." "That's- that's not important right now. I need to go, sorry girls..." "Siami. You're going to help him? Seriously? You've already helped him so many times."
"..."
Blanche and Alleya just kept listening to them...
"Siami, what is going on? Does he know something he wasn't supposed to know and is he using that information to make you do anything he tells you to?" Hazel stood up.
"Yes, Hazel. He knows."
"Knows what?"
"He's going there now."
"What-... oh... Oh, F*ck. I'm going with you. You two stay safe."
As Siami and Hazel left, Alleya and Blanche were left alone... "So... Are you going to tell me more about what happened when you and Fred Francis were together yesterday?"
"Uhm..."
