The case at hand was simple to resolve, yet the devastating loss of Elaine and Jared brought an indescribable amount of anguish and heartbreak to their loved ones, acquaintances, and countless others. After concluding her investigation, Alleya desperately needed to distance herself from the gruesome crime scene.

As he stepped out of his car and opened the door, Fred's thoughts immediately turned to Alleya. He hesitated for a moment before deciding to head back to the house where Alleya was still working.

As she leaned in to examine the metal of an incinerator, Fred softly called out to her, "Alleya, are you... alright?" "Yes," she replied quietly, her hands tucked into her jacket pockets. "I was just heading to the nearby café. I was actually hoping you might join me for a break," Fred said gently.Alleya's eyes filled with gratitude as she nodded her head. "That would be wonderful," she said softly.Fred led her to his car, feeling grateful for the opportunity to offer her some comfort. He opened the door for her and watched as she settled into the passenger seat.As they drove to the café, the weight of their emotions hung heavily in the air between them.

Fred started his car and drove to the café. As he was driving, Fred sighed. "Alleya, I feel like I have waited for... quite a long time now, don't you agree?" He muttered under his breath, before they both got this job, Fred had already asked Alleya out. He couldn't handle it, during their time together, Fred had only fallen for her again and again. His feelings were getting stronger as each day passed and waiting for her answer felt like forever, but of course, he couldn't force her. "I know, I'm sorry... It's just that... I don't think I'm the right person for you... I mean, you're kind, and gorgeous, and talented and caring..." She responded she was quite unsure, for her, he was perfect and she felt like she didn't deserve his love and affection. "Alleya, please be reminded that the person I love is you, and only you. I waited for so long just to have your answer. Don't misunderstand, please, I'm not forcing you." He lets out a sigh, keeping his eyes on the road. A brief second of silence came until Alleya finally spoke, "I..." She stopped, the words wouldn't go out of her mouth. She was nervous, she knew he deeply loves her, she loves him too but... She's not sure, she doubts her feelings and she finds this feeling a bit strange. For her, this feeling or emotion called 'love' was something she couldn't handle, Her heart would go crazy which made her feel nervous, and she would suddenly feel shy around him, everything was confusing. The car stopped as the traffic light turned red. Fred turned his head in her direction as his eyes looked into hers, it was as if he was pleading for her answer. "Alleya..." His voice went from firm yet gentle into soft and sweetened. Her eyes met his as she leaned back on the seat. "It's confusing." She softly said. "I'm not sure about... anything."

"What do you mean?" he spoke, his expression saying it all that he was starting to lose hope. His face was soft and his eyes were begging for an answer. Alleya's hand slowly approached his face and then held his chin, her warm hand took hold of his chin as his eyes widened a bit. Alleya's lips brushed against his, before they knew it, she was kissing him. Her action sent shivers down his spine as his cheeks turned red, his hands held the sides of her face before he kissed her back. An unexpected soft groan left her lips as she felt his tongue touching hers for only a millisecond. The cars behind them beeped repeatedly as Fred realized that the light had already turned green. He pulled away and drove the car to an alleyway.

"I thought we were going to the café?" Those words escaped from her rosy lips as she looked over to Fred as he parked the car. "And pretend that you didn't just kiss me? I don't think so." He said as he took her hand, his lips touched the back of it, he also began to kiss the wrist of her hand. Alleya blushed softly as she looked away, She tried to pull her hand back but his grip was firm yet it didn't hurt. Before she could say his name, Fred grabbed a tight hold of her shoulders and leaned in. Fred pulled Alleya in close and kissed her deeply. His tongue touched against hers, and the sensation was as if all the stars in the sky had just aligned. Their lips were locked together, and every moment of their kiss seemed to last a lifetime. He had waited for so long.

It was as if all the restraint and fear that usually consumed her had vanished, replaced by this newfound passion and emotion. The nervousness faded and this strong emotion that made her heart beat faster made her wrap her arms around his neck, and her hand stroked his hair. As he felt her touch his hair, he tightened his hold on her shoulders and deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring every inch he could reach. He pulled her closer and made sure she knew just how much he loved and wanted her, he wanted to show her how much he longed for her touch and love. His head was spinning as he felt her fingers brush against his skin.

Slowly they both pulled away for a breath. Fred gulped, he wanted more as he lovingly stared at those beautiful dark brown eyes of hers. Alleya stared at him, her heart was beating faster than normal, and a strange thought made her do something she didn't expect. Before Fred could speak or react, both were breathing heavily, their palms were sweaty as well. As their lips met once more, a sudden rush of excitement sent chills down her spine.
