Drawing back, Fred licked his lips still tasting her. The flavor of coffee lingered still. The coffee he drank was quite bitter, but hers was flavorsome and deeply rich in taste. He wanted more, leaning in once again, he was prepared to press his lips against hers once again, however, as much as he wanted to feel her lips, Alleya gently pushed him away. "S-sorry. I just..." She looks away, her cheeks were flushed. He chuckled in response and he slowly held her chin, lifting her head as she slowly gazed back at his eyes. "F-Fred... I can't..." "Why?"

Alleya felt warm and fuzzy as she stared at his eyes, his dark, pale eyes. His smile had the same sweetness as honey. She needed to push him away, she knew that. However, his smile, voice, and lips. She couldn't help herself, pulling him in, she lets him kiss her slowly and passionately. They then pull away for a breath after a few moments. She felt guilty for kissing him, but at least her first kiss was the person she once liked. But the word 'liked' made her wonder, she 'liked' him but she couldn't resist him. Does she like him? What if she does, if she does like him, she still has no choice but to be married to someone else. After all, her father is the one in charge.

"Alleya." His honeyed voice made her heart skip a beat. "Yes..?" Then, she froze in place, his expression. She knew what he was going to say next. And so she spoke before he could. "No." She said in a strict voice. It took him by surprise then he giggled softly at her firm expression. "Oh no, Alleya. I wasn't going to ask you to be mine..." His words seemed to have made her feel embarrassed and hurt, but mostly embarrassed. "Oh..." She looks away. "If I was going to ask you to be mine, then... that would mean I risk falling for the idea of someone rather than who they are." He smiled softly before continuing, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear, "I would like to get to know you better, Alleya. And I also want you to get to know me." His words made her speechless, not knowing what to say next. "After all, I want to promise you something. Or maybe... I want you to promise me something." He waited for her answer. "All right..." Her response made him smile warmly, "Your brother must've told you about the contest." "Ah, yeah."

"Can you-"

He was cut off by a knock on the door, "Alleya?" Her brother's voice called for her. Fred backs away, letting Alleya answer the door. Pacing towards the door, she then opens the door. "Is Fred here?" "Why?" "I asked the lady next door."

Miguel's gaze landed on Fred, smiling at his friend but the warm atmosphere was replaced with awkwardness as Miguel stepped forward, moving himself to Fred. "What the hell are you doing here?" Fred smiled brightly, "I'm here for my gloves and card." "Then go get it and exit." "Man, that's not fair, I walked all the way here." "That's not my problem." Fred glanced at Alleya before looking back at Miguel, he sighed before standing up. He took his gloves and card. Waving goodbye to Alleya before leaving. "Alleya. Go get dressed, Father wants you to be present at our family dinner. He wants to discuss something." Miguel spoke in a cold tone, and Alleya's face became serious. "What is this about?" "I'm not sure, maybe your engagement with some random dude." "I'm not engaged with anyone." "Not yet."

The car drove easily as the Salazar siblings looked as if their parents said 'no' to giving them another candy. Their frown deepened as they got out of the car. They were standing in front of their Father's Mansion. Their father built them their own house and his own, which made them wonder if their father already has another family. Walking inside the mansion, they were greeted by several servants as they led themselves to the Dining Room. Seeing their father already seated, two other men also sat, facing each other. "Good Evening, Father." They both muttered, their voices nowhere near delighted. Their Father-- Mr. Salazar-- smiled at them but it didn't reach his eyes. "Good evening, my lovely children. Please take a seat." He stated. His voice matched Miguel's but his gaze was on Alleya. "Miguel, how is Alleya doing in school." Their father's remarks made them despise him a little more. "She's doing well, she even managed to write lyrics that impressed Fred Francis." "Fred Francis?" "Yes, Father."
