Chapter 4

Janella's POV

When I got inside the mansion, I took a half bath, after that, I went to the dining area where dad and my little sister Trisha were just starting to eat dinner, I kissed dad and Trisha on their cheeks,

"Good evening dad, good evening sis" I greeted my father and my sister before sitting down in the chair.

"Good eve' big sis!!" my sister greeted back, our maid prepared food for me on the table. While we were eating, dad broke the silence where only the clinking of utensils and plates could be heard.

"How was going to the mall with your friends, hija?" dad asked.

"It was fun, dad" I answered.

"Next time I want to meet your new friend, I think he's nice" said dad.

"You're right dad, he's a transferee, he's a friend of Josh and Mac and we became friends too" I said smiling.

"That's good, he might be a friend of my friend's son" dad said with a smile.

"Uhm hija, do you want to go to lunch tomorrow? with my friend who is also my business partner?, he is also with his eldest son, who just came back here in the philippines, from a foreign country" dad asked but I didn't refuse.

"Sure dad, what time is it po?" I asked.

"12:00 pm anak, so be ready tomorrow, hmm?" he said.

"Okay dad" I said and smiled.

After we ate, I rested a little and took a shower. After that, I went to my room, I fell asleep immediately because I was tired from wandering around and playing games at the mall.

10:00 AM
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, so I got up immediately because we had lunch later with my dad and his business partner, I had breakfast first, then took a shower, after showering I wore a white casual dress and white sandals with 3 inch heels and after dressing I put on simple make up and took my shoulder bag and my phone to see what time, it was 11:08 in the morning so I came down because our maid said that dad was waiting for me in the car.

When I got inside the car, I sat in the passenger seat and dad started to start the car.

The trip only took 30 minutes because the restaurant we went to was quite close, The Royal Lounge is the most famous restaurant in the country because of the delicious food here and the beautiful interior of the restaurant, which is owned by Mac's mother.

When my dad and I went inside, dad went in the direction of a familiar man who was also wearing a grey full suit like dad was wearing, he seems to be the same age as dad, maybe the friend he was referring to last night, dad and I sat down.

"Good afternoon amigo, this is my eldest daughter Janella." dad said so I also greeted.

"Good afternoon po" I greeted while smiling and he also smiled at me.

"Good afternoon to you too, Janella, is that you? You were very young the last time I saw you, time flies, right amigo? My oldest son is also a young man, he is taller than me." said dad's friend laughing.

I'm confused, have we met before? he was also familiar kasi.

"Yes, amigo, they were just kids playing before, now they are grown up. Anak if you have forgotten, he is my friend that I introduced to you when you were young, he is your tito Christopher" dad said but I still can't remember, maybe it's been too long, so I just nodded even though I can't remember.

"By the way, where is your eldest son?" dad asked tito

"Ah, someone called him on the phone, so he went out first, but he will come back here later. Now, let's order foods first" said dad's friend. Dad's friend called the waiter to ask for a menu which the waiter immediately gave, so we orderd foods to eat.

While waiting for our order, dad and his friend were talking about business while I was chatting with Maja and Gab, when suddenly a tall man also wearing a white full suit with glasses sat in a chair next to the friend of my dad

"Good afternoon to you dad, tito and... Janella??" said a familiar man's voice in front of me in shock, so I looked at him for a few seconds to check who he was but I suddenly looked at dad when he spoke.

"Good afternoon hijo, how is living in America? Dati lang, you are only five years old now, you are a big man, and handsome like your father, do you know that since you left here in the Philippines thirteen years ago and lived in another country, my daughter is always looking for you" said dad and turned his gaze to me.

I didn't immediately recognize that June was the man in front of me because he was wearing glasses and his hair was styled in a Great Gatsby hairstyle similar to the DiCaprio haircut, unlike when we were at university, his bangs blocked his forehead, but when I realized that it was June I was surprised, what do they mean? he was my friend Florence before when I was only five years old? they didn't mention Florence's full name before, I only know Florence and I don't even know that their last name is De Leon or maybe I forgot because it was a few years ago and I was still young at that time?

"Do you mean dad, he was my friend Florence before?" I asked and dad nodded.

June's face also showed shock

"You don't remember your friend's face, son? Sa bagay it's been a long time maybe you've forgotten, med'yo nagbago rin ang mukha ninyong dalawa." said tito Chris to June.

"During my time living in America, I forgot Maxine's face and I only remember her name Maxine. I didn't know she was Maxine, but when we met again at the university, she was already familiar" June said while staring at me.

"Oh, so you two met again at the university" said tito smiling while nodding.

"Yes tito, our first meeting at the university was not good, but in just one day we became friends immediately. Actually dad, he was the one who talked to you on my phone who took me to the mansion and also guided me inside of the mall, do you remember what you said last night that you wanted to meet him? this is it dad" I said to dad and tito while looking at June.

"I didn't expect that, well thank you, for bringing her to the mansion and guiding my Princess, June, you are truly an inheritance from your father" dad said with a proud look on his face.

"Welcome, tito, it's natural for me to do that because I'm with a girl, I won't let the girls I'm with be hurt or harmed." June answered with a smile.

"Now you know son, you will be the one to watch over your friend janella inside and outside the university" said tito while patting June's arm.

"Yes dad, I will take care of her inside and outside the university." June said with a smile.

He's so handsome especially when he smiles, I won't wonder why so many people like and admire him.
