Layla
The first guy lunged at me as soon as the door behind me closed. I dodged his attack, but the other one got me into a headlock. I kicked and punched around, trying to get his hands off of my neck but with no success.
The other one pulled out a gun.
Luck must have been on my side today because, after he loaded the gun and took the safety off, aiming it at my head and pulling the trigger... nothing happened. My breathing hitched for a moment and my heart must have skipped a beat as he tried fixing the gun. It distracted him and his companion just enough so that I had enough time to maneuver out of this situation. I punched the guy that was holding me in the stomach and pushed him off me.
I pulled out my dagger, but I was too slow- one of the guys backhanded me, making me drop my dagger. I ran to get it, but the guy gripped my hair while the other still had his attention on his gun. The guy bashed my head into a wall and I immediately started seeing black dots. My vision was going blurry and my head was spinning.
"Let's get her out of here. Someone will notice the commotion and come check it out. We can't risk it.", the one that was gripping my hair hissed at his companion.
"You're right. Let's go.", the other agreed and the one that was holding my hair started dragging me out of the room, must not having known I was still conscious.
As they started making their way toward the back exit, I screamed as loud as my lungs let me. "Iry!", I called out for him, knowing he was the closest. One of the hooligans punched me and I fell to the floor. As one of them was about to attack me again, I tripped him and pushed him away with my feet.
I lunged at the other guy, practically jumping him and pushing him down to the floor with my weight. Or at least trying to. The guy was three times my size. I put my arm around his head in a headlock, trying to push him down onto the floor but not succeeding. The other guy had gotten up from the floor and taken me by the collar of my shirt, pulling me down onto the floor.
I fell onto my already aching back and I coughed as all the breath left my lungs. I got up immediately after, knowing that if I stayed down too long, they were going to kill me. All I needed to do now was get past them so I could get help. Usually, I would have taken on a challenge such as this one, but I didn't have a weapon and I was already too weak.
The hallway was too narrow and they took up all of it, so there was no way I could get past them.
I felt like a rabid cornered animal. My only escape at this moment was the back exit, but I was pretty sure they could catch up to me in a matter of seconds, if not less. My only hope for now was Iry, but until he came, I needed to take care of them.
I lunged at the one on my right first, then punching the other immediately after. They were a bit stunned, probably surprised at the strength I somehow had left, giving me enough time to run past them. I ran into the tavern and they ran out right behind me. They didn't stop attacking even though people were watching and some were even trying to intervene.
One of them put all his weight on me, pinning me to the floor. Thankfully, he wasn't holding or watching my hands. I brought them up to his face, pushing my fingers into his eyes, making him scream like a little bitch. He threw a punch at me and then I kneed him in the groin. He groaned, putting his hands around my neck and trying to choke me.
Suddenly, his grip eased and he fell on top of me, a knife sticking out of the back of his head. Iry had throw a knife at him.
I pushed him off, taking the knife out of his head and stabbing his companion in the abdomen. He pulled the knife out and lunged at me with it, but I dodged it, somehow, successfully. I gripped his wrist when he swung at me, taking the knife from his hand and slitting his throat with it. He fell to his knees and then onto the floor, the blood pooling around him.
