6. Behind The Scenes.

Labyrinth Zone. The air within the secret laboratory was filled with a mixture of anticipation and tension. Dimly lit corridors lined with intricate machinery and pulsating neon lights led to a central chamber where Starline, a dedicated follower of Eggman, stood before two test tubes. Each tube contained an unconscious hedgehog, one with crimson-black fur and the other with snow-white fur. The room hummed with an undercurrent of secrecy and ambition.

As Starline contemplated his next move, a sudden gust of smoke billowed into the chamber, materializing into the enigmatic figure of Silvia. She emerged with an air of confidence, her piercing gaze fixed upon the test tubes and the hedgehogs within them.

Starline: (turning to face Silvia) Ah, Silvia. You've arrived just in time. How was your experience fighting against Sonic and his allies?

Silvia: (crossing her arms) It was more challenging than I anticipated. Sonic had two of his allies, Silver the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat, fighting alongside him. Their presence divided my attention, making it difficult to focus solely on Sonic. Had it been just him, I might have stood a chance.

Starline: (smirking) Fear not, Silvia. The attack was merely a test of your abilities. Consider it a learning experience.

Silvia: (eyeing the test tubes) I see. And what, pray tell, are you doing with those hedgehogs?

Starline: (leaning closer to the test tubes) This, my dear Silvia, is a little project of mine. You see, operating behind the scenes is my specialty. As the Mobians grow increasingly distracted, I plan to seize the opportunity to gain the upper hand and finally bring an end to this prolonged conflict against Sonic and his insufferable friends.

Silvia: (grinning) Mind-warped Mobians? Using their altered states to divert suspicion from yourself? Truly brilliant, Starline. Your brilliance knows no bounds.

Starline: (straightening up, a glint of pride in his eyes) Indeed, Silvia. By employing such methods, we can orchestrate a grand scheme while keeping the heroes off-guard. They'll never suspect what's coming until it's too late.

Silvia: (stepping closer to the test tubes) I assume these hedgehogs are the first of many to be subjected to your "modifications"?

Starline: (nodding) Precisely. These two are just the beginning. With my guidance and our meticulous planning, we will unleash a force they won't know how to handle.

Silvia: (smirking) I look forward to witnessing the chaos we shall sow. The world will be ours for the taking.

Starline: (joining in the smirk) Indeed, Silvia. The era of my genius’ triumph is dawning, and we shall be at the forefront of my grand scheme.

A few days later, Ruby and Weiss, two newcomers, recovering from their encounter with Silvia, found themselves in Star Light City, a vibrant urban center teeming with life. The city's towering skyscrapers and bustling streets provided the backdrop for their conversation with Sonic, Mighty, Blaze, and Silver, who had arrived to assess the situation.

Ruby, still clutching her large sniper-scythe hybrid weapon, and Weiss, with her rapier-style sword charged with elemental crystals, listened intently as the others discussed their encounter with Silvia and the current state of affairs.

Sonic: (leaning against a nearby wall) Whoa, hey, you two alright? That was quite the showdown back there.

Ruby: (getting back on her feet) Yeah, thanks for asking. We're a little banged up, but nothing we can't handle.

Mighty: So, that was Silvia, huh? She sure knows how to make an entrance and a swift exit.

Weiss: (brushing off some dust from her clothes) Indeed. She didn't even bother introducing herself, and settled on attacking us with her summoned creatures.

Silver: (floating in the air, scanning the area) Thankfully, the townspeople were evacuated in time, so there were minimal casualties.

Blaze: (eyeing Ruby and Weiss' weapons) These weapons are unlike anything I've seen before. Did you create them yourselves?

Ruby: (grinning proudly) You bet! I'm a fan of tinkering and creating unique weapons. This bad boy is my pride and joy. It's a combination of a sniper rifle and a scythe, perfect for long-range attacks.

Weiss: (smirking) And my weapon focuses on precision and elegance. It's a rapier-style sword infused with elemental crystals that grant me cryokinesis and a few summoning spells.

Ruby: (teasingly) Weiss here is all about finesse and fancy moves. She fights like she's in a ballet competition.

Weiss: (rolling her eyes) And Ruby charges in headfirst, swinging heavy stuff around like a whirlwind.

Sonic: (raising his hand) Alright, alright, settle down, you two. We don't have the luxury of arguing amongst ourselves. Silvia is clearly planning something, and we need to be prepared.

Blaze: (nodding) Agreed. In response to her threats, we've organized a fighting force within the Resistance to prevent the destruction of Mobius.

Ruby: (leaning on her weapon) Oh, we've heard of the Resistance. We've just been a bit... preoccupied with scooting around and fighting robots, you know?

Weiss: (smirking) Priorities, Ruby. Priorities.

As the banter subsided, the group exchanged determined looks, unaware of the imminent danger lurking in their midst.
