7. Trouble Of The Past/Backstab.

Westside Island, a picturesque location filled with lush forests and sparkling lakes, known for its tranquility.

Amidst the serenity of Westside Island, Starline, having successfully subdued Mecha Sonic, found a secluded spot away from prying eyes to catch his breath. His mind swirled with thoughts of Ruby, Weiss, and their integration within the Resistance.

Starline: (muttering to himself) Ruby and Weiss managed to infiltrate the Resistance seamlessly. Perfect. (looks at the powered off Mecha Sonic) His condition has improved, but also developed a conscience. (sigh) What a bother. If only there was someone skilled enough who could reprogram this combat unit…Tails the Fox, maybe?

With an opportunity in mind, Starline wasted no time. He conjured a portal with his advanced technology, ready to transport himself and Mecha Sonic to a set-up workshop in Marble Zone. Just as he stepped through the portal, a keen-eyed orange fox named Julia one of Tails’ oldest friends, who had been observing Starline's activities from a safe distance, emerged from her hiding spot. Determined to assist the Resistance, she quietly made her way towards the path Starline had taken.

Julia, her fur glistening in the sunlight, knew that this turn of events could hold crucial information for the Resistance. She had been keeping a close eye on Starline, sensing a potential ally or threat within his actions.

Julia: (whispering to herself) That guy is up to something, and it involves that Sonic-shaped robot. Tails is in danger, and if I can help, I can't let the chance slip away. I need to find out more.

With her determination driving her forward, Julia set off, trailing the path where Starline had disappeared. As Tails’ old friend ventured forth, she couldn't help but wonder what secrets awaited her and how her actions might shape the fate of the Resistance and the world they fought to protect.

Whisper, the skilled and silent operative, led the way as she and Sonic infiltrated the hidden tunnels of Marble Zone. Their mission was to survey the situation regarding Mecha Sonic, the rogue robot with a newfound conscience. The air hung heavy with anticipation as they cautiously made their way deeper into the secret workshop.

Whisper: (whispering) Hidden workshop. Quiet.

Sonic: (whispering back) Got it.

Meanwhile, in the depths of the secret workshop, Tails and Starline engaged in a discussion about the specifics of Mecha Sonic.

Whisper, ever alert, caught wind of their discussion and recognized the urgency of the situation. She gestured to Sonic, prompting him to take action.

Whisper: (signaling silently to Sonic) We need to move. The robot is in the next room. Follow my lead.

Sonic, quick on his feet, noticed a discreetly placed button near the entrance of the room where Mecha Sonic lay dormant. With a deft and noiseless maneuver, he pressed the button, causing the barred entrance to open quietly. Moving like a blur, he swiftly grabbed hold of Mecha Sonic, carefully ensuring not to awaken the sleeping robot. In a seamless display of agility, Sonic leaped back outside the room as Whisper swiftly closed the entrance behind them.

With Mecha Sonic now in their possession, Sonic and Whisper made their escape from the secret workshop, their mission far from over.

The Resistance Headquarters, a bustling command center filled with monitors, computers, and operatives working diligently to maintain order and protect the people. Amy, the determined leader of the Resistance, is seated at a control station, her focus on the ongoing crisis involving the disappearance of Wispons.

Amy: (concerned) Why isn't he responding? Sonic, where are you?

Tikal, the wise and ancient echidna spirit, materializes beside Amy, offering her guidance and insight.

Tikal: (calmly) Sonic and Whisper are currently trapped within the domain of an ancient monster. The power of the ruins prevents communication from reaching them or escaping.

Amy: (determined) We can't wait for them to return. The situation with the missing Wispons is escalating. I need to take action.

Tikal: If you allow me, I can attempt to rescue Sonic and Whisper. I possess knowledge and abilities that may prove useful in their rescue.

Amy: (nods) Alright, Tikal. But please be cautious. Don't take unnecessary risks and don't let yourself get caught.

Tikal: (assuringly) I understand the importance of this mission. I will exercise utmost care.

As Tikal departs to address the operation prompted by Julia's intel, Amy turns her attention to the situation at hand. Shadow and Silver have been dispatched to investigate the mysterious disappearances of Wispons, but Amy's worry intensifies as she fails to establish communication with Sonic.

Amy: (frustrated) Why haven't I heard from Sonic yet? Something must be wrong.

Just then, the air in the room grows colder, and an ominous presence fills the space. Without warning, a sudden rain of spikes pierces through the air, impaling Amy's back and knocking her unconscious. The room falls into a tense silence before Weiss, the snow-white hedgehog with cryokinetic powers, approaches the computers.

Weiss: (smirking) Well, it seems you won't be needing these for a while. (she freezes the computers with her powers, then slashes them into irreparable pieces) Dr. Starline will be most impressed with the chaos caused.

As Weiss departs, leaving destruction in her wake, the Resistance Headquarters falls into disarray. Amy is soon found by Mighty, who carries her away, growing increasingly worried.

In the medical bay within the Resistance Headquarters, a dimly lit room filled with medical equipment and a sense of urgency. Amy lies on a medical bed, her injuries severe but stabilized, while Tails, Blaze, and Mighty gather around her, deep in discussion.

Tails: (concerned) We need to act quickly. Amy's injuries are serious, and our equipment is in shambles. It's clear that someone allied with Silvia infiltrated our forces.

Blaze: (focused) The nature of Amy's wounds, the combination of impalement and extreme cold, suggests the involvement of Weiss. If Weiss is here, it's likely that Ruby is involved as well.

Mighty: (nodding) They caught us off guard this time, but we can't afford to let our guard down. If we give them the impression that the Resistance has fallen, it might buy us some time to operate more covertly.

Blaze: Agreed. However, we need to decide whether to continue attacking as a united front or split into smaller groups for more targeted operations.

Tails: (determined) I believe teamwork is our greatest strength. We've seen the power of collaboration, and it's more efficient to work together. But we should consider relocating to Angel Island. It provides a strategic advantage and a central base from which we can coordinate our efforts and cover any problems across Mobius.

Mighty: (optimistic) That's a good plan. Angel Island has natural defenses and resources. It would be harder for our enemies to track us there, and it gives us flexibility in our operations.

Blaze: (smiling) It seems we're in agreement. We'll relocate to Angel Island and regroup. From there, we can strategize and deploy teams to tackle the challenges we face. Unity and coordination will be our key strengths.

Tails: (determined) Let's get to work, then. We have no time to waste. The Resistance may be wounded, but we're far from defeated. Together, we'll rebuild, strike back, and bring an end to Eggman's tyranny once and for all.
