(chapter fifteen) IT'S TIME TO KILL THE TURTLS

"morning gallaghers!" molly shouted as she walked into the house

"hey molly some lady named candace called steve on his phone. should i be worried" debbie asked the older girl

"i mean unless he has a sister named candace then yes," molly told her. debbie nodded and walked back upstairs. if steve was cheating on fiona it would give her the perfect excuse to kill him

later that day molly was trailing behind lip and some professor at the college. he had convinced her to go since she had nothing better to do that day. then after hearing that karen was going she convinced him to make karen not go which he agreed too.

"so when you're not busting SAT cheaters, you're a teacher" lip asks

"professor" he corrects

"oh"

"SAT's a side gig. pays for my boat" professor hurst tells him. "which gets you laid, I'm guessing" lip sarcastically asks

"haha no. the beard gets be laid. chicks dig a beard" he says

"I'll keep that in mind" lip response

"no chicks don't dig a beard unless you above like 35 years old" molly tells lip "don't ever grow a beard lip"

"yeah alright" lip chuckles

"you planning on going to college?" hurst's assistant asks molly

"oh uh probably not. I'm not as smart as lip so i could never get a scholarship to get in" she shakes her head looking down. "and i could never afford it"

"you know, professor hurst thinks lip's a genius," the lady says

"i think he is too," molly responds to the lady who keeps looking at her.

"that's cute" the lady smiles. molly gives her a small smile before running to catch up to lip and professor hurst

"i'd like you to attend the university next semester," hurst says

"well he can't" molly butts in. her and lip made a pact in sixth grade that they would finish high school and promised each other they wouldn't drop out. "well why not" hurst says turning to look at molly

"because i still have a year and a half of high school left" lip tells him

"well, test out. you know your capable" hurst responds

"pay for it with what? beard get me money too?" lip questions

"there's grant you can apply for. there's loans. it'll pay for the school dorm, your meal card" hurst explains

"and then i end up owing like half a million bucks, right?" lip retorts. hurst then pats him on the shoulder "oh well you're a clever kid. you'll figure out a way to stiff uncle sam"

"i don't know. sounds like a lot of trouble for me" lip shurgs

"well it's better than the alternative" hurst says

"and what's that?"
